There are several great places to eat in Chelan but if you havenât eaten at the Bear Foods "Café Creperie" then you havenât eaten at the best. By "best" I mostly mean the food itself; wholesome and max yummy. The dining is casual; no vistas overlooking mountains or oceansides; no hoity-toity waiters or sommeliers with white towels and black ties; in fact, no booze, fancy or otherwise, at all; and no prices tall enough to brag about to your impressionable friends. Just really, really good food to eat at reasonable prices.As a bonus, the Bear Foods Market that adjoins it is a natural paradise of hard-to-find items and, as much as I really like Trader Joe's, this is better.

We enjoyed the down-home atmosphere. Service was very good, with other staff jumping in to help out.The menu was long, with one whole side of the double-sided menu dedicated to breakfast.We had two burger plates and two breakfast plates and everything was good.Prices were very reasonable, especially given it's a resort town.We would go back.

Casual local breakfast. Comfortable seating allows for a view to the park across the street. Hemplers BACON! And local bread. Food was tasty and quick. Great stop if you want to fill your stomach before or after skiing - or just passing through. This cafe is attached to Riverwalk Inn which is a comfortable and casual place to stay.

Based in everyones ratings, we decided to try this place for dinner on our way to Spokane from Seattle. It looked like a quaint little house from the outside. There were many clues that should have told us to go somewhere else. 1. On a Friday night at 7:00 pm, there were just a few people there, but mostly drinking at the bar and not eating; 2. the inside area was too hot, so we opted to sit outside in the patio at the front of the busy street. There was a layer of dust coating the patio table from vehicle exhaust. No one bothered to wipe off the tables, which indicated a lack of good service. On one of the chairs, there was dried bird poop that was not cleaned off. 3. No table service on the water. It was help yourself to water from the Igloo water jug. 4. The menu was different from what was posted on line. We ordered the Smokey meat loaf sandwich, which was a cold meatloaf sandwich on a hoagie roll with crinkle potato chips for $14. For that price, we expected the bread to be toasted and the meatloaf at least put in the microwave so it was a hot meal. We were afraid to send the meatloaf sandwich back to the kitchen because something could have been added to it without our knowledge. We were hungry so we ate fast and left quickly. Keep in mind, this is not a pub. It is a bar focused on serving alcohol and drinks, not real pub food.

If you are going to the Chelan, WA area, you have to stop here for wonderful meals, quaint setting, and fun atmosphere with the locals in this little town. We've eaten here several times now, always in September.....breakfasts and lunches to date.....and haven't been disappointed in the least. Great menu choices, home cooked meals that make a day around Lake Chelan complete.
