At first we weren't sure how to sit/order. You stand in line, cafeteria like, and place your order. It tends to get really busy so you have to stand around and almost hover near tables to get a seat. Food was great though and coffee was amazing. They also have wine, beer and champagne. Last time we went the had a Monte cristo special. It was amazing so if they have It, order it!

When an old favorite local place closes down after many years and a new place pops up in it's place, you almost have to go and see if the new kid on the block is worthy of occupying the space of it's predecessor. I have never eaten empanadas before so I don't have anything to compare them to other than each other. We ordered 3 to get a bit of a variety. The Ham and Cheese were ready to go, there were a couple flavors that were going to be done in 4 minutes and anything else would take 14 minutes to bake. Considering it normally takes about 14+ hours by plane to get to Argentina, 14 minutes seems pretty fast, but I can see how for some people that could still be a bit too long. You also have the option of calling ahead and then going down to pick them up when they are ready. For us it was hard to consider these anything other than a snack due to their size and lack of any side orders. Some people have deemed these expensive. Considering a frou frou coffee drink at the House of the Green Mermaid is about 5 bucks, i think the prices here are fair. We liked the Chorizo and Spinach the best. The Ham and Cheese was ok but not on the same level in our opinions. So is this place worth checking out ? We say yes. Will we go back ? I will just leave it at this : Don't cry for me Argentina, I have Pampas in my own back yard.

Samer is awesome, Fantastic Sincere Service, Freshly Served Breakfast, Lunch, even the to go plate was piping hot. Quaint, charming, friendly, home style meals. You might not all get served at the exact time (couple minutes between) which only means they still cooking up the next persons meal, not microwaved fast food. It's my nephews weekend breakfast spot and we frequent whenever we visit Northern CA. Since 1946!!! Check It Out!

After our enjoyable walk around part of the lake, we decided to get a bite to eat. I ordered the Deer Canyon Wrap which was very good but maybe could have used a bit more of the Cranberry Cream Cheese as I couldn't taste it much. My husband ordered the Skippy burger with fried potatoes and said it was very good. Staff was very personable and helped us with directions since GPS wasn't working. Definitely recommend!

I've been here just twice. My second time wa was week excuse the reviews in another review site discouraged me. But I ralky enjoyed the second visit. I had a coffee drink and a tuna melt. It was good, and I like the fact that there are chairs and couches too. I love couches at coffee places. They also have a few outlets. All and all, I'll be back.
