What a great breakfast spot! Always something new on the menu. Don't miss the pastries... I loved their cream horns! The fried green tomato BLT is pretty awesome, and Crystal's Original Salad was fresh and we LOVED the dressing! BONUS! If you're a local, this little gem will have you walking down memory lane. Many pics of teachers, residents, buildings, and the interior is primarily constructed of repurposed materials from the old schools, drugstore, barns etc. It's like a stroll back thru time.

What a find! Great atmosphere(indoors and outdoor patio), friendly and welcoming staff, and amazing food. Showed up on "Falafel Friday" and it did not disappoint. In town visiting our son, and loved it so much, went back Sunday for breakfast (and we aren't even vegetarians, so don't let that fool you from getting a hearty meal). The portions are large. So wonderfully fresh (from the farm) and don't miss the desserts. YUM! After your meal, pop two doors down to the market.

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Effingham. We saw the reviews on TA and gave it try. So happy we did. First, the restaurant is inside an old bank. The vaults are still there and serve as a dining room. The eggs benedict is some of the best I've had. The hollandaise was smooth with a touch of lemon. The hash browns were crispy... just the way I love them. My wife had fried eggs, bacon and sourdough toast. She like it all and said the bacon was very delicious. We recommend it to anyone in the are to stop by and try it.We are so thankful for you taking the time to leave a review for us, and thank you for supporting locally owned places while traveling! It means so much! Thanks again!

Stumbled upon the Sunny Street Cafe after our first restaurant plan got foiled. And we are so glad we ended up here! I couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch but ordered a turkey club and french onion soup. The prices were very reasonable, friendly servers, cute diner-like atmosphere. I really want to come back for breakfast. Delicious!
