What a find! Great atmosphere(indoors and outdoor patio), friendly and welcoming staff, and amazing food. Showed up on "Falafel Friday" and it did not disappoint. In town visiting our son, and loved it so much, went back Sunday for breakfast (and we aren't even vegetarians, so don't let that fool you from getting a hearty meal). The portions are large. So wonderfully fresh (from the farm) and don't miss the desserts. YUM! After your meal, pop two doors down to the market.

Stumbled upon the Sunny Street Cafe after our first restaurant plan got foiled. And we are so glad we ended up here! I couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch but ordered a turkey club and french onion soup. The prices were very reasonable, friendly servers, cute diner-like atmosphere. I really want to come back for breakfast. Delicious!

More people need to know about this place. The savory crepes are amazing and very large. The teas are just as good! Kind of a weird location that doesn't lend itself to the best parking arrangements, but it's worth it even if you have to walk a bit. Service is always a bit slow, but the food always comes out hot and fresh.

Proudly serving So. IL. since 1977, we are a café, bakery, full service caterer, and have a gift shop called 6Pence. Home of the original pink cookie.
Cristaudo's has a great line of bakery goods, but my family knows them best for those "Pink Cookies". Once you have tasted one, you always want more! I provided them for a second grade class this year and were they thrilled!

First let me say that I have never been to a bad Panera's (branch of St. Louis Bread Factory). They serve upscale fast food in a clean environment. I go there every week or two and have always been pleased. Healthier choices are available which isn't true in many college town restaurants.
