Cash only restuarant (they have an atm) serving breakfast, brunch and lunch right off highway 49. The usual omelettes, pancakes and waffles and they have a weekend special list that includes benedict's. I like that you can get the option of half fruit and half potatoes with any meal. Wait times can be long and seating is limited. I was sat next to the register and unfortunately had to listen to my waitress gossip about the lack of tips she was getting which was a little off putting...over a hour wait for food and eggs were over hard, not over easy for my friend, my yolks were solid for my benedict...kinda defeats the point of a bene. And food was warm not hot. Cant say that I'll be back but it was worth a try.

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Nice mom and pop local feel in this strip mall located restaurant. We were seated straight away. Decent selection of breakfast options. I had the Veggie Omelette while my wife ordered âThe Mess.â Service was super attentive. Quite honestly, we could have ordered just one breakfast and split it between us. This was a lot of food for us â good, but plenty. As we were travelling in the area, also too much to finish and not able to take away what we didnât eat. So instead of leaving food, I ate as much as I could stomach â and hence, no additional meal needed this day.

Located in the original part of Auburn (gold rush vintage buildings) this place is GREAT! Just driving through we stopped in here for a breakfast. The owner/worker/ managers were friendly, efficient and put out a wonderful product. The menu is extensive ! It also includes take out and catering options. The servers take great pride in what they offer, their service, their quality and the fact that they have an huge local following. Quality always follows where the locals go.We had the Pan-san...2 large pancakes, 2 fresh eggs prepared per request, and 4 thick pieces of bacon--sausage is also available. The servers gave us samples of their bread pudding and a Mediterranean coffee drink with cardamom in it. They explained the origins, how they prepare them and all with enthusiasm and pride. I always like to support locally owned and operated businesses and this one deserves your support. Great food, great service and at VERY reasonable prices. They are located just off I-80 and parking is easy. Give them a try!!!

We always stop in here on our way home from Tahoe to SF for lunch and a treat. Their pastries are big and home made and they have a huge delicious sandwich menu. Their coffee is fine (it's not "artisanal" but it's good). Mostly a locals spot, as far as I can tell. Only downside from the family standpoint is that there's only one restroom and they don't have a changing table (or anything to stand in for one).
This is a âmom & popâ shop owned by a young couple with a talent and passion for baking. The breads are amazing along with the baked treats - I felt on my daughter for that statement as I donât eat gluten. I was able to try one of the two gluten free treats - a brownie - it was very chocolatey and did not crumble. I had a very nice chai latte. We love having such an independent and superior bakery/ cafe in town.
