Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Anna Maria. Forty miles south of Tampa and just seven miles west of Bradenton, Anna Maria is a paradise island. With the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Tampa Bay and Anna Maria Sound to the east and Sarasota Bay to the south, the seven-mile-long tropical island is a gem, with beautiful white-sand beaches on all sides and a year-round population of just 1800. The island was originally discovered by the Timucan and Caloosan Native Americans and then by Spanish explorers.

We took the entire family for breakfast. They service breakfast, lunch and have a Tiki bar outside for all day service. They also have all you can eat pancakes, cooked to order. It is a nice location on the beach, The food was fresh and the service was very timely. It is set up like a concession, but they have enough to handle the volume. Well worth a return visit. it is also a great location to see the sun set in the late afternoon! We will be back.

Discovered this new little place while wandering Pine Ave. on a recent mid morning walk and was drawn in by my craving for something sweet and the coffee.Ordered the âHemingwayâ - a warm Belgian waffle glazed with a Key lime curd (I was told the curd is made in house) and covered with crumbled graham cracker and a simple coffee. The waffle was about the size of a normal pancake that is denser and more flavorful than the typical waffle and the coffee was substantial. Somewhat pricey but satisfied my sweet craving. The service was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the outdoor patio seating.Certainly will return to try one of the other waffle concoctions or maybe opt for picking my own toppings and try one of their specialty coffees. Great concept that I hope finds success on AMI.
