Gin and pickles is a great addition to the village, I went here the day it opened, and it has gone from strength to strength. Zoe is very welcoming, everyone is treated individually, and for a gin lover, like my friend, itâs paradise! We had a cheese & meat platter, which was good, with delicious bread. Weâll be back ! (Actually we were the next day ! )

I visited The Lounge with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago and we both had a delicious cooked breakfast - the food was cooked well, wasn't greasy at all and was sourced locally which is great! As I am quite a fussy eater I asked to have no mushrooms or tomatoes, to which the waiter said I could have an extra egg or piece of bacon, which was very kind of him! All of the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and homely! Will definitely visit again.

We tried this out given positive reviews and we are glad we did. Four of us spotted someone tucking into a ploughmanâs and it looked so good we all ordered it. Nice piece of cheese and slice of ham, pickle, pickles onion, pork pie and salad with a couple of thick slices of bread. Washed down with a big pot of tea. Very good value, friendly and excellent service - only 5 minutes off the Lydiate Ash junction. Highly recommend.

Delicious food from a small menu with vegan & veggie options. Very welcoming friendly staff. Nice selection of quality drinks served in crystal glasses and other little quirks which reflect real attention to detail. A massive bonus for me is its dog friendly! Bowls of water and dog treats available and dogs allowed inside-Finally a place in the high street where we can go as a family with a young child and a dog.

The Potting Shed opened in 2016 It offers plenty of rustic charm with itʼs well crafted wooden interior, which is offset beautifully by a combination of crystal chandaliers and contemporary lighting. The extensive menu, available from 9.00am until 4.30pm,
Our 1st visit. On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome and led to our pre booked table. Lovely atmosphere with lots of tables already taken. I ordered the Fish special of smoked Haddock on a bed of spring onion mash and served with a poached egg. My husband opted for Honey glazed ham,egg and chips. When the food arrived my husband definitely got the better deal. My meal although very tasty was a minute portion size. I would image that the chef had managed to get 3 portions out of the 1 Haddock fillet. I was noticing other alternative meals Coming from the kitchen and they all seemed to be a better portion size for the money paid. We found room for coffee and cake which was delicious. All cakes were £2.95. We would visit again but choose something different next time. Can I firstly thank you for your review on The Potting Shed and secondly apologise for your Fish dish of the day and any inconvenience caused. The portion size of the haddock dish was consistent with others delivered to the table that day, but I will indeed pass your comments on to our Head Chef .Apologies again Claire Singleton
