Zahara de los Atunes is a village on the Costa de la Luz of Spain in the province of Cádiz and the autonomous region of Andalusia. It is noted for its excellent beaches, an outdoor cinema, and la Iglesia Del Carmen church where, curiously, tuna (caught in Almadraba traps) was butchered and salted. Also in the town there are excellent facilities including a variety of restaurants, cafes and hotels.

We normally stay in the Estepona/Sabinillas area, but have to say that the beaches are not a patch on the stunning beaches on the Atlantic Coast, especially at Zahara. Over the years this has become a popular place for beach holidays and the village of Zahara has a great night life with lots of bars and restaurants for visitors.

Great and relatively quiet beach, close to Zahara de los Atunes, in Cadiz. Great for a nice long walk and a nice swim! Also, I strongly recommend to walk to the cliff and reach the lighthouse at sunset. The views are to kill for.
