OceanExplorer La Palma

We at OceanExplorer are a responsible whale watching company located at the Port of Tazacorte on the west coast of La Palma. We are a team of marine biologists and enthusiasts who love the ocean and his inhabitants and want to share it with our guests here on the island. The duration of the excursion depends of the boat (between 2,5 up to 4 hr.) We have 2 boats currently under our flag, the beautiful Bussard, max 12 pax on board including a freshly prepared meal and drinks for free during the excursion. The trip with the Bussard includes a swimming stop, visiting of the famous cliffs of the north west of La Palma and other highlights along the coast. Once our visits here concludes we are heading to the open sea to search for whales & dolphins. 4 hrs, available as a day trip and also our famous sunset trips! The Flipper is our whale watching boat specially designed for this purpose, always with a team of marine biologist. 100% guarantee of sightings or repeat the excursion for free.

Puerto Tazacorte

Reviewed By 203juliann - Cardiff, United Kingdom

We took a transfer bus from Los Cancejos (45mins) to this place with a varied character. The beach was long and uncrowded backed by cafes and restaurants, At the other end of the bay was a large marina with trip boats for dolphin/whale watching. Some impressive architecture with the recent huge sea defence constructions. Our favourite part however was the town above the beach/marina on the cliff top. It was a 20 min. uphill walk but well worthwhile with impressive seviews and again a large selection of cafes and bars. The main square was being impressively renovated on our visit. Walking through the back streets was very interesting with buildings and small squares hundreds of years old. Lanes too narrow for cars in lots of places with nicely renovated and decorated houses. Easily enough to keep you busy for the day.
