Enjoyed this self guided walk back in history to the 1860s to 1890s mining town community! There are a little over 40 buildings, along a mainstreet as well as many period items including covered wagons, train cars. Very complete picture of mining in this time period for a very reasonable fee.

If you read a review about how amazing this experience is, it is 100% correct. We spend each fall break in Colorado and this will be a mandatory stop from here on out. Our family of 6 did this from 7 years old to 40’s and we loved every minute of it. Mike and Amy were AMAZING with our kids. They engaged with them in every opportunity. If you want to meet people that seemed to have taken their passions and turned it into a way to make money, they are it. We did a 2 hour ride but I think it was more like 3 hours. They let us ride the horses at any pace we wanted. RECOMMENDED no matter what your comfort level.

We stormed in with 7 adults and 8 children. The server quickly arranged tables to seat us all. He entered our orders on some type of notepad device that apparently sent the orders to the bar and kitchen as he entered them. We began receiving our food and drink while he was still taking orders. Our server broke the bill down to 4 tabs without error as well as filling the orders flawlessly. The beer selection was adequate and the beers were good quality and tasty: South Park Brewing can hold their own in the highly competitive world of micro breweries. The menu had plenty of options, and everything we ordered was good. We will visit South Park Brewing whenever we pass through Fairplay, CO.

Weekday visit during fall during the hours of sunset. Beautiful drive and beautiful views! We approached parking lot and saw we could drive off-road and check out campsites. We came across a beautiful open space with the view of the mountain with all the colors of fall from the Aspens. Although many of the trees have dropped leaves from cold weather. There are many trails to walk but we were here for a quick excursion. Drive back toward Denver with the sun setting. Worth the drive!
