With the schooner Fionia - and via Visitnyborg we had a wonderful experience on the water. On the boat trip we came out around the small peninsula Avernakke and towards Holckenhavn Fjord, where we got a beautiful look at Dyrehave Mill and Holckenhavn Castle. At Knudshoved we sailed past Østerø - the nature area and peninsula, where both Slipshavn and Knudshoved are. Here we sailed past the old ferry port, where the car ferries for nearly half a hundred sailed cars across the Great Belt - before we sailed under the Great Belt Bridge and viewed one of the largest conctruction works of Denmark’s history. The tour ended with the entry through Nyborg’s Marina - and along the way on the 3 hour long trip we had a fantastic guide with from East Funen Museums, who had the most interesting stories to tell. We can highly recommend this beautiful sailing trip. Food must be brought - drinking must be purchased on board.
