My partner and I visited on a whim having seen Saladoong Forest on the map we decided to check it out. Upon arrival were both in awe of the crystal clear blue water and luckily we had brought our snorkelling gear. We were very surprised at the amount of coral garden here, with multiple fish species, as well as coral types rarely seen whilst snorkelling. The water level deepens very quickly and the further you go out the stronger the current becomes. I would highly recommend those that do not consider themselves “strong swimmers” to avoid swimming past the hammock swings, or you will likely struggle to swim back, unless of course you have fins. For those interested in seeing epic coral and lots of fish species in crystal clear water with up to 15m visibility, look no further! Another bonus is the opportunity to watch people cliff jump off a scarily high board, very entertaining!
