A stunning Victorian lodge, superbly located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the village of Kincraig between the Cairngorms and Monadhliath mountain ranges. This Kincraig self-catering lodge is equal distance from Aviemore to the north and Kingussie to the south and guests will love the traditional features, combined with 'old world charm' and the benefits of modern facilities. High ceilings and lots of space set this Kincraig self-catering lodge apart from other cottages, and the ground floor has two stunning sitting rooms, one with an open fire and the other with a woodburner, while both have big settees and great views of the mountain ranges from the windows. The impressive formal dining room comes complete with massive square table and tartan dining chairs, and is a perfect place for a special meal prepared in the lovely bespoke fitted kitchen just next door. All the bedrooms in this Kincraig self-catering lodge have lovely views, and benefit from en-suite facilities.
Fantastic house to celebrate our sons birthday. Very well equipped. Lovely log burning stove, which was fantastic as we had snow & frost. The walks to Loch Insh are so near the house & the views are just amazing. The owners are near to hand if you need anything & nothing was too much trouble. Hot tub ????????Having a bar attached is just the icing on the cake!

We had a wonderful evening sitting by the log burner eating the crab pasta (house special) surrounded by local artwork. Friendly and helpful service. We picked this place because it seemed the best in town for vegetarians (and vegans), but we were seduced by the sea food in the end!!

The Pine Marten Bar and Scran is lovely small alpine style bar and café with a very friendly atmosphere, in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Live music most Friday and Saturday nights and many other mid week nights during school holidays. Great local beers and a wide selection of Scottish Whisky and Gin. Soft drinks and teas, coffees and hot chocolate available. The adjoining little shop is well stocked with grocery essentials, fresh bread, milk, sandwiches and snacks, chocolate, fudge, ice creams, cold drinks, bottles/cans of beer, BBQ goods etc etc. The shop is open from 9.00am everyday during the main seasons. The bar is open and serves alcohol from 11.00am till late. The Café is open for breakfast and lunch from 9am - 4pm then 5pm -7.45 for dinner. Glenmore is a great place to be - lots of cycling, walking, skiing (winter!), watersports or general relaxing. Come and visit us - we are very friendly.
Having another brilliant stay at the Treehouse next to and by The Pinemartin Bar and Scran. If you haven’t stayed here give it try and it’s literally 1 minute from the great pub and 2 minutes from the beach. Beats any hotel stay. Into the food - service is always great from all staff and the menu is made up of a choice of fresh healthy alternative combined with bar snack, which are also freshly made. When to start - halloumi fries are great and the nachos - well that’s where they excel in snacks !! Crispy nachos with the right amount of cheese, home made guacamole and always fresh and well sourced sour cream - great to scoop from the crispy nachos. Nacho wars - soggy or crispy - crispy every time and excellent for scooping up the fresh sides. Winner winner nacho dinner at the Pinemartin Bar and best Scran !

Excellent place. Dog friendly, great food and staff. There are good facilities for washing hands and social distancing, the food was great, between six of us we sampled most of the menu. Good range of beer, first sampled opposite the bar in a covered picnic area and then in the convivial dining room where we received excellent service from friendly staff. I asked for a recommendation re best whisky to accompany my cheeseboard and the Balvenie Caribbean Cask was an excellent suggestion. Worth a visit!
