The napkins are extra thick for a reason. When you tie your bib on to chow down on our delicious barbecue, you'll be indulging in barbecue that's been featured in the 2009 Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue competition. Not to mention
Got here 10 minutes before closing time while traveling through the area. Gotta get to Namaan's. We had the Red Headed Step Child which is a sandwich with brisket, pork bbq and smoked sausage. I would wager that the sandwich would weigh a pound. Great food awesome service. Must stop if anywhere near.

I ordered the three meat combo plate with Mac n cheese and baked beans. Sliced brisket was a little dry, sausage was pretty good and the turkey was tender, tasty, moist and very good. The sides where not very good. Mac n cheese was bland and baked beans was over cooked . Now they have pinto beans on the bbq sauce bar. They where very very good, in fact I ate two bowls of them. I will try the ribs next time.

I love to go to BigJakes. There are 2 things that are a must ... sloppy joes and the fried coconut pie. You will always get enough here. Always fast and friendly. Great BBQ

While in Texarkana, we needed take out food for several family members and BBQ was the idea. Someone suggested Big Jake's and what a great place to go. We ordered brisket and sausage for our meats. Baked beans, Cole slaw and potato salad for sides. Plenty of food! There was plenty of BBQ sauce included. If eating in was as good as take out, then it would be More than a great place to enjoy a meal.

I found this restaurant online while visiting in Texarkana. I found out it used to be a Bonanza when it was first built. I brought my family here one Sunday around 1 p.m. The church crowd had dwindled, but there was still a steady stream of people arriving. Today's menu sampling of Angus meatloaf, Angus lasagna, and Angus beef tips w/rice were mouthwatering. Did you know that the chicken w/dressing is homemade and NOT Stove Top Stuffing? MMMM!! Candied yams are not from a can, y'all. I could see the whole yams through the kitchen window! I knew that this was the real deal. Purple hulled peas, cabbage, mixed greens...this is off the chain! Dessert fare included butter cream pound cake, and a few cheesecakes all made at this fine establishment. Please don't be discouraged when you walk in and move to the right to find a line to order in or out. Figure that the time it takes to order at another restaurant is equal to or longer than the time you're in line..have patience forplates of perfection! My family's hats to Off the Fire..well done!
