Smoked with Texas Oak wood for up to 14 hours, True Texas BBQ offers barbecue by the plate or pound, plus delicious sides like brisket beans, creamed corn, potato salad and coleslaw.
Who would have ever imagined that grocery store barbecue would be so good, but it's true! Their brisket is excellent, and their sides are great. They occasionally have "special dishes" like the barbecue on mac and cheese and the barbecue baked potato that are worth the trip on their own. Just remember, studies show that grocery shopping on a full stomach cuts down those impulse buys, so enjoy some really great barbecue in a really convenient location!Well thanks so much! We're so glad you enjoyed dining with us, and we hope you'll stop in again soon!

For our last meal in Seguin we decided to go here. The BBQ ribs just fell off the bone. The brisket sandwich was mouth watering and tasty. The potato salad, okra, and beans were a fantastic side dishes. They even service fried fish. The only BBQ joint I have ever found that does that. Very friendly people and staff.

Honestly, somewhat disappointed ... but I may have ordered wrong. Got lamb ribs, sausage link, and cream corn, and a big coke. The very good â cream corn, really flavorful, perfectly cooked. The good â sausage, beef I think, slightly over cooked, great flavor, slight spicy bite, and not greasy. The not so good â lamb ribs, fatty, greasy, not well seasoned; I left 1/2 of the portion. Served with bread, onions, pickles, and sauce â all okay, nothing special. Reasonable price IMO. Iâll try it again, probably get chicken and brisket.

Stopped there for an end of the week lunch and they filled the bill. Great bbq sandwich, good tasting sausage and good sides. Lots of indoor seating. Good, friendly staff.
