After other family members had gone here and on our way back from SoCal we stopped for dinner at 7:35. The board listed that chicken and ribs were out so we tried pulled pork and brisket because they were also out of tri-tip. The pulled pork was mushy and almost all fat When we mentioned this to the server she said âit is all like that nowâ Still debating about going back and currently the inclination is no. The parking is a bit of a challenge also and that should have tipped me off. I rarely write negative reviews but I need to advise my fellow diners.

I have been living in Prunedale for seven years now and have seen the market from Hwy 101. After seeing it on KSBW weekend sunrise I decided I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did. First off, you walk in and get a nice cup of soup. Mine was corn chowder on a Tuesday. I asked what was good and decided on a rack of ribs and a TriTip sandwich to go. Both were excellent. The TriTip was tender and seasoned well. The ribs tender and smoky. The rack held together well but when eating the meat comes off the bone cleanly and easily. This is more evidence that the l little hole in the wall, "the dive" is where some of the best food around is found.Free soup while you wait. Very good prices, about 37.00 for a huge sandwich and a rack of ribs.We will be back!! So happy to live 3 miles away!!!

Specializing in ono grindz that bring you straight back to Hawaii. Plate lunches, Spam Musubi, fresh Poke and much more. Mahalo for supporting small, local, family-owned business!
While staying for a nice in Marina I had to decide what to eat. Stumbled onto Keoki's and decided to give it a change after coming back from the beach.Got in around 6.30 AM and there was a little wait (which turned out to be around half an hour). Got my order in for mix box with 3 options and rice and potato salad. Had beef and chicken.Portions are good and taste is good. It was well worth the wait.Keep up the good work!
Decided to try out this new barbecue restaurant in the San Miguel Shopping Center in Prunedale. I Love barbecue so I was hopeful. They posted their specials outside which included ribs, but was unable to have them for lunch since they only serve ribs during dinner. First disappointment. The service was friendly and attentive, but the restaurant was nearly empty. They have a large bar and serve both beer and wine. It appears that they are trying more with their wine and beer then their food. We decided to try their tri tip meal. You get 1/3 pound of tri tip with two pieces of garlic ciabatta bread and one side. The tri tip was tender, juicy and a good smoke ring. The second disappointment was the barbecue sauce. They only have one and itâs a cheap store brand. A good barbecue place should have at least three barbecue sauces, preferably more. One tomato based, one vinegar based and one spicy sauce would be the minimum and never store bought. The third disappointment was the side of beans. The amount given is so small, the dish is more what you would expect with sour cream or butter or horseradish. The beans actually served as a better sauce for the Tri Tip. They do not have soda dispensers so only canned soda is served. I went with the unsweetened tea which is better with barbecue in my opinion. I believe this place has potential. Itâs just depends whether they focus on the wine and beer instead of improving the food. I will return to see if they have improved.

This unassuming place is right across Reservation Road (careful crossing!) from the hotel where I stayed in Marina. I ordered the Bulgogi Beef takeout. The price was a bit astounding, but when I got the two containers back to my room I found the bounty inside was well worth the cost. There was a huge helping of the perfectly-cooked, tender beef with onions at a just-right consistency, along with a handful of tasty sprouts and a carrot-cabbage salad. The other container held a generous portion of kimchee and an assortment of other relishes and sides ranging from the spicy to the soothing. I had leftovers two days later, so I got two delicious and satisfying meals.
