Located at the top of the plaza mayor overlooking the square, this place has ambience in bunches. Had a light lunch of sardine on toast for myself and a hamburger for the wife. Also had a fab bottle of Local white wine and only â¬10.50, and also came with some cheese on bread tapas. My sardine was filleted and placed on salad on top of toast with a great jus around it. Wife's very fancy burger with home made bread bun looked a treat. Sardine â¬4.40 and burger â¬5 .The waiter Carlos or "Charlie" was extremely helpful with the wine and was a treat to talk to.

We dined here for lunch and dinner and on both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed our visits.The food selection was simple but excellent and the waitress was charming and very attentive and helpful.We really liked this place for the relaxed atmosphere and competitively priced fare.Suggest you call in here for refreshments when in Trujillo we recommend this place

Mostly - I think - an evening sort of establishment, but it's open in the daytime too. A good place for a drink and/or something to eat on the way between the Plaza Mayor and the castle. Great beer. Friendly owner. Sit outside if you like, or inside in the shade.
