I am sitting here now writing my review out of infuriation! The service is incredibly slow, to the point where we waited 20/30 minutes to have our drinks order made (of which I had to get the drinks menu myself). Then finally, the food took another half an hour (which is probably average). The food itself was very good but they did not come and ask us how our meal was, or ask for sauces or pepper (we were only given salt) we asked for water, it did not come at the same time as our drinks, it came with our meal?! Then, I ran out of source for my chicken so we asked to have some mayonnaise; we had to ask twice and then it came 15-20 minutes later, by then I had finished my meal. The woman came over and I said I had finished so she shrugged her shoulders and said basically âsozâ. It was not even a difficult task to ask for. Although, the male staff member was very welcoming and nice, I did not like the woman.

Hard to imagine a better place to eat. Amazing service, incredible views and insanely good food. Fantastic vegan options too! I totally recommend you make this an essential place to visit and eat at when anywhere near Les Houches!

It was quickly clear this restaurant is a local favorite. The owner is kindhearted and efficient, and the food was extremely good. My simple chicken sandwich was on a perfect crunchy baguette, and my companion's feuillantine chèvre with salad - goat cheese and tomato baked on a round of fresh puff pastry - was beautiful as well as delicious. The price for both, plus two perfect cappuccinos, was less than we would have paid for one lunch in a more pretentious restaurant.

The Oboose is just over the road from the bottom of the Bettex Gondola and is therefore wonderfully convenient when you are feeling thirsty after a day on the slopes. I forgot everything else about the place because we tended to stay all evening, in the semicircular table at the back! Hic!

Nous nous sommes installés sur l'herbe avec nos 2 enfants: a l'écart de la terrasse mais à l'ombre avec les chaises transat. Les jus de fruits pour les enfants étaient dans des grands verres et les glaces correctes. Le serveur était gentil et agréable aussi. Au vu des précédents commentaires, le service a peut-être changé ? En tous cas nous n'avons pas essayé pour le déjeuner ou le dîner. Après certaines personnes s'étonnent toujours quand les places sont réservées, mais c'est comme ça dans la restauration, les habitués me comprendront...surtout quand le lieu est très fréquenté. Pour cela Trip est très utile pour se renseigner avant. En tous cas, l'endroit est très sympas pour une pause.
