Many empty tables and still 15-20 minutesâ wait for a table after registering. A waitress who forgot that we wanted to order didnât help. The Thai Chicken Salad had a dressing that tasted like I imagine liquified avocado tastes...but I hate avocado and never eat it so Iâm not sure if that explains the green stuff. My partnerâs Pear and Scallop Salad was superb. A cute seal was swimming in the harbor and Iâm surprised the volume of noise inside the restaurant didnât scare it off.

Wife and I gathered here with three friends for dinner. Unusually discreet entrance at the end of the local bakery building (Sluy's) then up stairs to the restaurant/bar. I'm assuming there's an elevator somewhere because a patron in wheelchair showed up after us. We were immediately greeted by our very friendly server, Dan, who was also a bit of a comedian...which we enjoyed. He offered advice on the beers on tap for that day and I ordered a Warsteiner Dunkel dark German beer ($7.00). My wife had a bottle of Samuel Smith's Nut Brown English Ale (a bit pricey at $9.00).For dinner, my wife had the German Irishman sandwich ($13.99), which is kind of like a Reuben with pickled red cabbage. It came with a choice of potato salad, kraut, more red cabbage or green salad. Wife had the green salad. I ordered the Jaegerschnitzel ($19.99)...a large pounded pork steak, breaded and fried and covered with a flavorful brown gravy on top of a bed of spaetzle (short, chewy noodles fried so they're both soft and crispy at the same time). I too had a green salad. We both enjoyed our menu choices and the lemon dill dressing on the large (almost falling off the plate) wild greens salad was delicious. Seems to me the prices are more what I'd expect in Seattle...and a little steep for Kitsap County. One of our friends finished her meal with a huge bowl of warm, steaming apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, which she shared with all of us.I can't say much for the atmosphere, as it's a bit rustic and very noisy (what's new?). It was hard for me to converse with our friends because I couldn't hear much except music and the jabber and laughter coming from other tables. But I might return for the meal I had; I really liked the spaetzle. Total bill before tip was $52.00. One thing worth mentioning is that in warmer weather you can sit outside on a deck above the sidewalk, looking out over the main street of this quaint little Scandinavian town, Poulsbo.

Slippery Pig brewery is a brewery tasting room, restaurant and event venue. Additionally we also host a pinball arcade room, making it a downtown family destination for fun and entertainment. Originally starting out as a tiny tasting room on Dave and Shaw
I found a good vegetarian meal. Lots of pork on the menu, together with typical fare. I found this venue by wandering down a side street toward the beautiful water view. Itâs a casual cafe with high top tables in the afternoon with lots of space in the back for larger crowds and music. Thereâs a gift corner and brewery selections on tap. What I enjoyed about the menu was building a potatoe, salad or sandwich with columns of choices. My waitress was attentive. My only suggestion would be better music more appropriate to digesting a meal.

We were there with a large group sitting at 2 tables. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and came shortly. Had to ask for utensils and sweeteners. We ordered and then waited. Some of the dishes came after over an hour wait. Two of us at the table continued to wait. Said there were only two workers in the kitchen and the house was full. Ultimately, my order arrived. The Western burger had a big hunk of beef that was tasty. The fries were ordered as extra crispy and they were. Spouses dinner came earlier. The fish was greasy and had a weird coating. Onion rings very good. The cole slaw was limp, undressed and generally poor. The waiter seemed to generally try to get things going and ultimately comped the two really late dinners. Can't recomment this place.

While Envy Bar & Grill does not look like much being located on the rather depressing Viking Avenue and its industrial type environment, Anyone looking for a great Burger and Fries combo has arrived. Breakfast offers great options as well. The wait staff is very polite and friendly. The bar keeper needs to learn how to mix old-fashioned drinks ("Rob Roy" for example), but the food variety, quality and ambiance is great.
