Join us for Summer Dining on the patio overlooking scenic Hop Brook! *Connecticut Magazine included Jesse Camille's in its list of the 27 of the most gorgeous and delicious outdoor dining spots in the state. How did they come up with list? Pretty simple,
Had dinner at Jesse Camilleâs last Saturday night with another couple and it was a wonderful time. The specials selection was very good and the food was delicious. The staff was very attentive to us and will definitely be back as itâs always a great dinner or lunch there

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the portions large, but nothing to write home about. Perhaps the dinner menu would be more impressive. Food and drinks were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Was expecting more. Did like sitting on the patio outside, that's a nice touch.

My friend & I went for a quick lunch. Upon entering we had the feeling we didn't belong there. Apparently 66 Church is a typical cliquish pub where outsiders are tolerated. Our waitress finally showed us to a table & she acted like she was doing us a favor. Unbelievable !!! We waited over half hour for our food which was only quick bite items. It took nearly another 30 minutes just to get our check !!! We couldn't wait to get out of there. Never again will I set foot in 66 Church !! Rude, Rude, Rude !!!
The huge picture on the wall is a photograph taken of the men having lunch while sitting on a steel girder atop of 30 Rockefellar Plaza during the construction of the Rockefellar Center in New York City, September 1932.The picture captured my interest before I even had a drink or the food. American Forged Pub honors those hard working people that forged and assembled the steel structures that we still use today. American Forged also shows their patriotism for our country and armed forces.I had the pleasure of meeting Mike & Taryn while the construction of the pub was underway. They did a complete renovation of the former Slainte space. It's clean, bright, and inviting for all that want to enjoy a few drinks and great pub food.I've been in American Forged Pub a few times since it opened. One night, my wife and I with a friend of ours enjoyed listening to Wil Cardona and the Sound Reason Band. They also host karaoke nights and special events. This past Saturday, I was happy to be invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony. The mayor welcomed Mike & Taryn with their new establishment to the town of Naugatuck.Mike is continuously introducing new items to his menu. So far, he is offering gourmet burgers, fries, wings, and a few specials. This weekend I had Mike's delicious buffalo wings with a Doobious IPA from Bad Sons Brewing in Derby, CT.American Forged Pub has a fully stocked bar including an excellent list of craft beers on tap as well as bottled beers. They also have a nice list of specialty drinks. It'll be fun tasting different beers from their rotating taps and trying more and more items as Mike builds upon his menu.I'd like to wish Mike & Taryn and their staff many years of success at American Forged Pub.

The building is over 200 hundred years old. It's the kind of place where it's easy to believe the many stories of its being haunted. There's a gorgeous dining room upstairs, but it was closed on Wednesday night, so we ate downstairs in the charming tavern. The tavern was bustling with locals, playing a setback tournament. This is what I mean by the Milestone Inn delivering a sense of place. Local people love and use the place, but it is also a destination (especially during the holidays). The best restaurants and taverns in the world welcome everyone, but first and foremost they must have a connection to the community. In this important regard, the Milestone Inn is the real deal. Now to the food. There are more negative reviews than positive reviews, so we were a little trepidacious. But we were pleasantly surprised. They delivered a very solid cheese burger and the fried calamari was excellent. I ordered the braised beef short ribs on risotto. Now, risotto is perhaps one of the most dangerous orders one can make in the heartland, but I was pleasantly surprised. Risotto has to be prepared fresh with the right kind of rice and can't be undercooked or overcooked (the most common mistake). High marks to the Milestone Inn for delivering a lovely risotto. The short ribs were a little dry, but I was very pleased with my order. Oh, and the draft beers were cold and fresh. I love the Milestone Inn.
