Firstly it was puzzling to unexpectedly find such a well-designed, new, up-market, USA style restaurant in such a steeply sloping, shabby street. My two Greek friends work in the area and had no idea it even existed. Hidden behind a row of orange trees off Syngrou Avenue, it is obviously targeted at lovers of rustic American food with loud music. I was with Greeks and they were hypercritical from the off, starting with why put such an elegant, stylish, upmarket, pricey, modern, American style eaterie in such a narrow, nondescript, steeply slopping street with zero parking and in such a dingy, unexciting part of town. Certainly, there is no passing trade. Maybe there are some big hotels nearby. If there are then the seemingly strange location would make sense. For me, it was yet another upmarket American style burger and beer eaterie, which seems de Regeur in Athens at the moment because quite a few have popped up recently. But this one is in need of serious marketing because we were alone in there for 3 hours on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 8.30. They told us that it gets busy at the weekends but because October is still their summer it will be even more busy in the colder winter months. The atmosphere is very moody, with dim, candlelight elegance and yet the loud American Country Rock ruins any suggestion that the place is romantic. Such music was not unpleasant to my ears but my Greek friends did not like it at all as it was a work dinner and we had to shout to each other. The food was excellent if one likes American burger style cooking, but my Greek friends were unimpressed with the simple grill fare or the size of the portions in relation to the cost, nor the moody solitude pierced by loud American Country Rock music. Secondly, it was puzzling about their 2 for the price of 1 drink. By chance, it was "Happy Hour" when we were there so they ordered two cocktails at 10 euros each thinking of course that the second one was free. They liked their cocktails, especially the one with cucumber and chili, and rated them with 5 stars but when the bill came they were not so happy that there were no free second drinks as advertised. My Greek friends did not complain; they will simply not go back again or recommend it. Maybe the 2 for 1 offer referred to beers, of which there are pages on offer, but it was not clear and so set my two pals off. The offer did not apply to the wine either, of which we had two 1/2 carafes. They did however like Angelos, the friendly and very pleasant waiter. The restaurant is very lucky to have such a young, warm, English speaking personality in what is otherwise a very somber, empty, pristine atmosphere. I will give the place a four-star rating and wish them well even though I did not comprehend what they mean by happy hour drinks. But my Greek friends gave it the thumbs down, which is a shame really because this hidden restaurant will rely on word of mouth among the locals for sure.Thank you for the time you spent to write a review.I am really sorry for the misunderstanding with your Greek friend and their cocktails but on all the tables have a flyer that says happy hour 2+1 is on draught beer per person.Unfortunately the 2 hours you were here is not such a busy time for us as Greek people usually go out for dinner after 21.00.We will be happy to have your Greek friends here another evening, maybe on a dj night set with Funk pop music or maybe o a acoustic live on a Sunday!!Thanks again for visiting us

The Good: Cat friendly. Service was great from our server. She was friendly and treated us to a traditional Greek after dinner drink which was tasty. Prices are very good. We loved eating outside on the sidewalk. The Bad: Too hot inside. The Ugly: Nothing. We ate there twice in 3 days.

This restaurant lays in an upcoming neighboorhood close to the ancient angora. It's a part pf Athens where local people meet and where it's really quiet. The menu is really international. Although we were searching for something typical Greek, we were enjoying the food. The restaurant has a wooden oven. The waitresses were very busy, so they haven't had enough attention tp our table. Even though they were friendly it was a minus.

AWESOME. If you want to go to a really nice place, go to the POINT a restaurant. What an absolute gem of a place. First and foremost, I'd like to say how WONDERFUL the manager, Andreas, was. A super friendly person with a fantastic attention to detail (he was lining up tables and table cutlery) and helpful with the entire dining experience. The rest of the staff was also very good, but Andreas really stood out. I visited the restaurant twice, once for the bar menu and once for the table menu (reservations required). Both times were excellent, and the food was as superb as the view (you have beautiful view of the Acropolis). My only small issue was a lot of the food has dairy in it so it was a bit challenging to find non-dairy based choices but there were some choices. The view of the Acropolis just can't be beat, and people were taking photos all night long. Also, the music was very good as there was jazz and big band type music, which really set the mood for the place. The bar area is set back from the table area and has its own seating, including some very comfy benches and chairs. I can't think of a better way to end a day in Athens, hanging out at the POINT a, drinking and eating. What a great choice!
