They have a great breakfast buffet and amazing wait staff here.On weekends it can get pretty hectic but the folks here are always on top. I stopped by for coffee prior to their opening. They were not bothered and I got my Java. The buffet is substantial along with eggs and bacon there's sausage and fried potatoes, oatmeal with six toppings, multiple baked muffins, pastries, and cakes, along with a huge assortment of fresh fruits and yogurts. Cassandra is your hostess and will help customize your requests.

Twisted Root Burger Co.

We’ve considered twisted root in general and the Roanoke location in particular as favorites for a number of years. My two sons’ go-to personal favorite. But bit by bit over the last, say, two years this place has lost its charm, its uniqueness and has gotten very bland/boring. First to go was the fun banter about your famous person foos order. Then the menu above the kitchen. Tonight all the soft drinks were changed - forget about the fun special flavor. It’s become very “corporatized” for lack of a better description. And for the first time ever, the place was less than half full tonight at 7:00 pm. I assume others are having the same reaction to this place as we are. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. RIP.
