Staying at IBIS hotel in Douai, this pub is at a mere 2' walk. The pub offers local dishes such as beef stew, etc. Nevertheless, according to our standards, it is slightly underperforming considering its "excellence" award from tripadvisor. The meat we ordered was ok even though the quantity of Potjesvleesch was limited but the vegetables were apparently coming from a tin can... There are three beers on tap: an unknown lager, a local ambrée and a tripel beer Averbode, from the Delirium brewery.

Big group ate here on our last night. Packed with locals and lots of atmosphere. Spoke good English though very happy for you to try your French. Food was excellent. Steak very well cooked, Saumon Noir was also excellent. Not sure what its like during the week but a great visit. Never let your glass go empty. Our kind of place.

After half an hour of looking for a normal restaurant in Douai, we arrived at this one, by complete coincidence. From to outside it looked as a sandwiches place, but having nothing else, we got in.What a good surprise.Good, fast and efficient service with a smile.We ordered one dish each and what a good decision it was.I got a plate with an enormous quantity of delicious smoked salmon over vegetables with toasts and my spouse got an enormous quantity of all kind of smoked meat over vegetables. Both were very good. The beer was good too. There was so much salmon on my plate that I had to ask my spouse to help me.The other guests were locals.

Lovely traditional friendly Bistro, well prepared local dishes.We enjoyed the Menu Terroir, 3 courses drinks and coffee with change from £40. Lovely experience, mixed in with the locals we had a super evening.Try it you won,t be disappointed.

Cuisine sans gout et sans saveur, service trop long, Entrée ris de veau sans ris de veau, entrecôte avec beaucoup de gras, blanquette de veau insipide, dessert vérine rocher chocolat très bizarre. Reste le cadre pas mal sans ambiance. TROP CHER pour cette qualité là .
