Reviews on Bar food in Bora Bora, Society Islands, French Polynesia. Turquoise lagoons, soft white sands, and deep tangerine sunsets set the scene for romance on the island so nice they named it twice. Mingle with tropical fish as you flutter around Coral Gardens or Tupitipiti Point, or relax in a self-driving tour as you take in beautiful views of the once-volcanic Mount Otemanu. At the Lagoonarium you can watch shark feedings and swim with turtles. Cap it all off with a succulent meal at one of the island’s fine French restaurants, then sip a tropical cocktail under the stars.

The food here is some of the cheapest youâll find in Matira beach. It hits the spot if you just want something to put in your mouth. The standard menu of: pizza, salad, burger, chicken/fish/beef, Polynesian dishes. Food (Raw fish in coconut milk) was a little bland for me; bearing in mind this is the local dish I wouldâve expected it to be better. In other restaurants youâll find it prepared a lot better (with more flavor).

We ate here a few years ago and liked it so much we had to come back! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful. Itâs not cheap, but what in Bora Bora is! It is worth a trip for dinner. A great experience!

It's a tourist spot. Yeah, it's the kind of place you have to visit because whenever you tell people you were on Bora Bora someone will ask, "Did you go to Bloody Mary's?". $19 pitchers of local beer and $20 hamburgers while sitting on log stumps is what you'll find along with slow service by staff lacking personality. Yeah, I know, it's everything on island time. So, yes, I've been there and I got the t-shirt because the t-shirts at $27 were the best deal in the place. So, I'm not saying to avoid Bloody Mary's, just that you need to understand what it is before you go.

We stayed at the resort for 5 nights and we had plenty of opportunities to try different dishes from the restaurant and different cocktails from the bar. The restaurant service is good, the staff is gentle and prompt, the food is good and the menu various. I would not say the same of the bar, we went one evening asked for a cocktail, they did not bring the snacks and I had to ask for them, we asked for the bill and they brought it after more than 20 mins. The cocktail was good but we wanted to spend one hour we got directly to dinner time because of the incredibly long waiting time.Dear Davide P,Ia Orana from the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort! We appreciate your kind assistance for having taken your valuable time to share your experience. We thank you for your helpful suggestions; the matters you have raised have been discussed with the department heads concerned and corrective measures are being taken. Set on the sand, at the foot of Bora Bora's famous turquoise lagoon and under the stars, Fare Hoa Beach Bar & Grill is French Polynesia's most idyllic restaurant. Epitomizing "feet-in-the-sand luxury," Fare Hoa captures the magic of the destination in its
We were staying at the Four Seasons and other than the breakfast restaurant, this was the restaurant we ate at the best. Calling it a beach bar is selling it a bit short. It is open for lunch and then also for dinner on some nights. We went here the after arriving on the first day around lunch time. We got a table right on the water. You don't have your feet in the sand but you are surrounded by it. The service was attentive. We started with the Poisson Cru which is a local specialty including raw fish, coconut milk, onion and a few other ingredients. Couldn't get enough of this. I had read about the tuna burger and went for it. Seared rare, on a black bun, red curry mayo, friend onions, lettuce, it literally got this 3-4 times for lunch during the week. We split a bottle of French rose and the meal was complete. The first day, i ordered the side salad with the tuna burger which was surprisingly good. Another day, I got fries. For whatever reason, the fries were fantastic. They came out hot, crispy on the outside, and seasoned perfectly. They were similar to the size of steak fries but with a crunch. We also went for dinner when open a couple times, and it is basically a grill. A variety of fish and meat available with sides. I tried a couple different fish dishes and the lobster. The coconut rice is a nice lighter side option. The one thing i noticed was the fish/lobster on the menu has a certain glaze or preparation. If I remember the lobster had a szechuan lime or ginger preparation. I didn't taste any of this. The meat was grilled well, and I enjoyed the taste but wish the glaze was noticeable. This was the same for the fish preparations. At night you don't get the view, but this was a good alternative to Arii Moana which came up short in many areas. As with all the restaurants at the FSBB, you will pay a premium because you are at the FSBB. This restaurant is more reasonable.
