Went there yesterday. When we got there the place was busy and the hostess, Trinity, took my number and said she would call when the table was available. After over a 1/2 hour went back inside and said she would seat us when this one table of 4 left. My cousin said there is a empty table for 6. There was 4 of us. She refused to sit us there. A mom and daughter walked in and my cousin said do you mind sharing a table. They said no problem. So then my cousin said ok there is 6 of us now. The hostess gave us major attitude when she sat us at the table for 6. FYI the table of 6 was actually a table for 4 people pushed together with a table for 2 people. The service was very very slow and the food was so so. The menu is very limited. And the table of 4 people we were originally waiting for left shortly before us because they sat there talking and visiting after they ate.

This is a very small "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant with only 4-5 tables. Based on other reviews, I was expecting quality Thai food, but was disappointed. While the prices were average, portion size was below average. The cashew chicken was bland for Thai food with not much flavor or spices. I was surprised to see black pepper used for seasoning. I have tried both Thai restaurants in Sandpoint and both are average at best and not very memorable. During my visit, it seemed that takeout was more popular than a sit down meal, since only one other couple was in the restaurant besides me.

This is one of a few sushi restaurants in Sandpoint, and in my opinion is by far the best. The chef really knows his stuff. Everything is so fresh it's practically still swimming. If you're not too keen on raw fish (which my husband isn't) their noodle and udon bowls are wonderful. The food presentation is beautiful too. And they make simply the best edamame I've ever tried.

We ordered chow mien and fried rice. Neither were ordinary and did not feel either was too salty. We ordered it for take out and I must say our food was prepared quite quickly. The portions were quite large at reasonable prices. It probably sounds like I should have rated better than average; perhaps. The restaurant itself is very, very typical of many Chinese restaurants and the staff not particularly professional. Take out was fine but sort of glad we didn't eat there.

We spent three years living in Tokyo, so we're always critical when visiting a Japanese restaurant. We don't normally order sushi since in the states it's "designer" sushi with all the decorative stuff, but here we thought the Tempura and Bento box were exceptional. The Katsudonburi although cut into small pieces was very tasty, the shrimp and vegetable tempura light and crisp, and the Sapporo ice cold. Service was prompt and attentive and prices were reasonable.
