All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday th
Weâd wanted a stop for lunch on route from Connecticut to Toronto. Checked on TripAdvisor, we picked their #1 eatery in Rochester - Swan Market. Drove in Rochester under major rain, the market/restaurant was on a long street in a sketchy residential neighbourhood. The restaurant has only 3 long communal tables. Be very prepared to share table with lotâs of locals/people from all walks for lunch. We sat with a 3 generations-grandfather, father and 12 year old son and a brand new parents with their 1 month old son. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. We had the sausages sampler, and another lunch sampler meaning we had tried most of their known produces. A big counter at the opposite end of the restaurant had all the sausages and German made products, jams, bread for sale. It was the closest way to get to Germany. Get your own experience!

For a great hot and delicious lunch, you can't beat Thai Mii. The food is always hot, tasty and nutritious. Great place for a date or business meeting.

We tried again a year later and found it still disappointing. Pad Thai noodles are soggy, too sweet and lacking some essential ingredients. Tom Yum soup, another signature Thai dish, was listless, wimpy, lacking any definition of lemon grass, sourness or heat. I could have done better with a powder packet. The Phad Prik Khing (spicy green beans) dish was OK, but chef made it too hot and the Pad Thai too weak so our order was not followed correctly either. We concluded that Rochester patrons may be mostly inexperienced or just have low standards, so that is why some of these bland inauthentic ethnic food restaurants stay open. Too bad. Could have been much better if they used authentic ingredients.

This place is always hopping, but it does not keep the staff from being engaged, attentive, and kind!As with any good restaurant, good experiences begin with very good ingredients and well-executed preparation. Han scored well on both counts!Chinese staples, like soups were standouts. I ordered one of the specialty dishes, said and vegetables, and my wife had the braised beef buns. Both were great.Place is crowded and noisy, and not handicap friendly, but the overall experience was positive.
