Reviews on Asian food in Fortaleza, State of Ceara, Brazil. Beaches are the top draw in this sunny, rapidly developing city, particularly bohemian, party-hearty Iracema, family-friendly Meireles, fishing and boating base camp Mucuripe and low-key Praia do Futuro. Stalls at the Mercado Central or Feirinha Beira Mar brim with local handicrafts, ranging from ceramics to lacework and leather goods. The Dutch-built Fortress of Nossa Senhora da Assunção in the city center, constructed in 1649, marks the spot where Fortaleza originated.

Clean decor and magnific food, a modern Japanese cuisine with local ingredients. I ordered a main course, but could have chosen many small dishes, which would look more like a Jap meal. The main problem is that it is too noisy.

Food was average for what we were charged, service was ok however always had to ask for cutlery as they brought good but didn't bring any cutlery to eat it with, with all the review on trip advisor we went there thinking it will good, but to our service only 3 tables were really occupied. Asked for a spicy tuna sushi and I saw tr chef literally just putting tobasco on the tuna and rolling to a sushi, would I go again, Nope

Good sushi should not be hard to find in Fortaleza. Fuji is one of several such restaurants around Praça Portugal. But be very observant of the menu. There are unconventional terms that may be confusing, and if you order sashimi, be aware that you will pay for every single slice, with a minimum of five slices per serving. This can make dining here expensive. There is outdoor seating, but the lighting is so poor you will be thankful you brought a flashlight.

Soho is a good option for japanese food. As most Brazilian japanese restaurants, they abuse of cream cheese and other things on the sushis, which is always a problem for me. The service is good and overall quality of food and beverages is also good. Inside, the restaurant ambience is nice and elegant, while the tables outside are terrible because of the noise and traffic of the avenue in front. If they have more of the traditional japanese food would be great.
