A wonderful restaurant. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, interesting and delicious food. I had the mixed vegetable grill which was sizzling, flavoursome and tender. I shared the pancake with red bean and ice cream with my friend, it was unusual and delicious.

Needed a curry and the Spice of Balti was open so returned after a gap of 10 years since my last visit. I doubt whether it has changed much in the intervening years, it was a tad untidy but there was a good aroma coming from the kitchen so prepared to give it a go.The food was actually quite good and I would have rated this higher if the decor had been better or if the restaurant was warmer. A good take away venue rather than dining I guess. Service was polite and prompt.

We ordered takeaway from here on a Friday night for 6 people.When we went to collect, it took another 15 minutes before the food was ready. That's OK, but there's only space for two people to sit and wait, so we went outside and waited there.The food seemed confused - it's a Thai meal, but some ingredients and flavours were Chinese. The sticky rice was a single gloopy lump that was could be picked up with a knife.However, worst was how I felt the next morning - with a bad stomach. I'm not sure what it was - I had a chicken dish - and I wasn't *very* ill, but I didn't feel great for a day.We did fancy Thai and it's the only one, but it's not great.

A must for anyone who enjoys authentic Indian food at its best. Not Surprisingly the Masala Gardens is a highly rated restaurant and deservedly so. We was told our order would be with us within 50 minutes, after numerous phone calls it finally arrived 2 hours later, with some of our order missing. The food was good, and they sent our missing order about half hour after we had finished our meal, would only return if we was collecting ourselves and able to check the whole order is in the bag.
