A cozy Tibetan restaurant for the first time in Boulogne sur Mer. Special tibetan menus welcomes you with hospitality.
A refreshing change from the pizzas and kebabs in Boulogne is the fairly new Nyalam Tibetan Restaurant. From an unassuming takeaway downstairs, walk up to find a cosy room with authentic Tibetan decor.Host Dochi went to great lengths to accommodate our children, who enjoyed the subtle Asian tastes. Langsha Tsoma - beef and potatoes in a stew with dingmo (circular wheat bread) and rice - was a particular favourite, while the more mainstream dishes like chicken chowmein were also well crafted. If you are in Boulogne for a trip or just passing through, the Nyalam is well worth a visit.

I like sushi seafood on rice and it's a buffet with fresh dishes. The price is very, very reasonable, although it get fully-booked early. The service is fast and efficient - we went there twice. Second time ,we explained that we had a transport problem and had to go in 20 mins. They gave us a quick take-away bag with sushi, and then free miso soup and rice. What good service! What a great budget price! It's a really nice place.

Typical Chinese, quite large restaurant, looked a bit dusty and dark though! We might have been unfortunate in our choice, Peking Duck was rock hard, served in an extremely sweet sauce, not the Hoisin sauce, pancakes and veg. and it was served with noodles which were totally bland! Our daughter seemed to have be more lucky with her menu, with the Cantonese Rice, Chicken balls and shrimps, but still, not very tasty! Won't return!

Our second visit, having found this small restaurant last October. There is a small menu, all Thai style dishes and with options for vegetarians. We enjoyed the samosas and spring roll starters, followed by chicken Pad Thai and prawn Pad Thai. The prawn dish especially was superb-five large fresh prawns, very gently spiced, but tasty. With two small beers, just Eu51, good value for this quality.Helpful hint- the restaurant also does take-aways
