Welcome to FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology). Our award-winning FACT building is home to three galleries (showing three major exhibitions per year), a beautiful café operated by the team behind LEAF on Bold Street, a cosy bar, and four state of the art film screens (including The Box, with intimate sofa seating), programmed by our cinema partners Picturehouse, and showing the best in independent and mainstream film.
We have visited FACT in the past and staying in the City made use of their excellent facilities again. The Oscar winning film was being shown on one of the centre screens so it was a no brainier to book in advance. Very comfortable seats, a good bar and centrally situated in the City. The whole multi purpose arts building is very vibrant, the art galleries interesting and the staff welcoming. We will be back again

Victoria Gallery & Museum is housed in the stunning architecture of the University of Liverpool's famous flagship 'original red brick' building. Our aim is to amaze and amuse all our visitors with an incredible collection of curiosities collected throughout the lifespan of the University of Liverpool. We believe the exhibits you’ll find at the Victoria Gallery & Museum give you an experience that’s unique from other Liverpool museums. Where else would you find the world’s most important display of false teeth under the same roof as an exhibition of fine art? We’re also very proud that these weird and wonderful items are housed in our most prized exhibit… the Victoria building. The gallery & museum is open 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday with just the cafe and gift shop available on Mondays. We are closed every Sunday. The Victoria Gallery & Museum does not open at all on bank holiday Mondays and is closed over the Christmas and New Year period.

The Williamson Art Gallery and Museum houses several exhibition spaces showing exhibitions of local, national and international interest. The building also houses a museum which houses the largest collection of Della Robbia Pottery from Birkenhead as well as gallery dedicated to the local maritime history of Birkenhead with models of ships and boats as well as other maritime artefacts. Within the gallery, there is a cafe, craft/gift shop and independent bookshop and art supply shop. There are regular art classes and more.
The Gallery proved to be the perfect place to be on a very wet Saturday. It was such a different experience to most galleries I’ve been to, with a great community feel, from the colourful art supplies shop in the foyer to the wonderful Primary School’s Coast to Country Project in the learning area- congratulations to all the contributors who created these thought-provoking 3D sculptures. Moira was so lovely to chat to in Oxton Books where second hand and new books are lovingly displayed and sold, she obviously loves being part of the enthusiastic team of people who work in the gallery. There was a splendid exhibition of art work in the Wirral Art Competition that filled two big rooms, and one of the talented artists was present and happy to tell us about the work on display. The cafe was an absolute delight, great decor, so much of interest to look at, and, again, the community’s contributions are on display and clearly valued here. It has a good choice of drinks, cakes and snacks, the homemade soup was absolutely delicious. One beautifully laid table was reserved for a party having afternoon tea, and the food looked so good! The cafe was very popular with both visitors and locals. Williamson Art Gallery and Museum was a delight to visit and I can highly recommend it. The museum staff are most welcoming and informative and there is a wealth of information about local events and activities on display. Highly recommended!

Taste Liverpool is the most visited gallery of visual art outside London and home to the national collection of modern and contemporary art in the north of England which is free to view. Displays change often so there is always something new to see. If you are visiting in Summer 2019 you’ll be able to see the first major UK exhibition of American artist Keith Haring. Haring was inspired by graffiti, pop art and underground club culture. Visitors can enjoy more than 85 artworks including large, vibrant paintings, drawings and sculptures. We have a Changing Places toilet, a shop and café located on the ground floor. Families have great days out at Tate Liverpool. We have free activities each day with additional activities in some school holidays. We have a designated family space, buggy parking, baby-changing facilities and you can breastfeed wherever you feel comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you to our gallery.
This gallery houses some very significant and historically important art. All credit to the Tate to provide opportunities away from London to see great works of art by opening this venue in Liverpool. Having visited Tate Britain and Tate Modern in London this smaller gallery loses nothing of the impact modern art creates and for the uninitiated it is a manageable and introductory starting point to take.
