Pennsylvania Dutch country is a fascinating destination to explore. Visitors will get a glimpse of farm life as it was in the early 1800s. Visit markets and farm stores for homemade shoofly pie and fresh produce, or shop for a handmade quilt. President James Buchanan's elegant home, Wheatland, is no less historic but contrasts sharply to the simpler Pennsylvania Dutch heritage sites in Lancaster. Consider a side trip to nearby Hershey, home of Hershey Park and the Hershey chocolate factory.

BUiLDiNG CHARACTER is a fantastic collection of 70+ shops ~ at home in 10,000-square-feet of historic warehouses ~ in the heart of Downtown Lancaster's premiere shopping areas, the 300 Block of North Queen Street. It's a place where shoppers can spend hours perusing recycled brand name clothing and accessories, handmade jewelry and metalcraft, antiques and collectibles, and handmade greeting cards and ornaments by local craftspeople, most of whom employ green practices and recycling methods to create their inventory.
Had such an awesome time walking through the large warehouse. Each booth has artwork from so many talented local artists. Also some great vintage finds. Definitely one of the gems of downtown Lancaster.

A little bit of all things vintage...The Scarlet Willow has Lancaster's largest selection of vintage clothing for men, women and children. Two floors of vintage goodness await...furniture, decor, housewares, linens, ephemera, cameras and much more! Don't miss A DAY IN THE LIFE RECORDS on the second floor.
This store was fantastic. So much to look at. Staff very friendly. Lots of vintage items. Upstairs floor packed with clothes.
Space is an eclectic shop in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania that specializes in mid-century modern items of all shapes and sizes.
My Aunt Debbie is as cheerful and colorful as the crochet flag that greets you when you walk in the front door. Once inside, you’ll find vibrant vintage textiles and fiber arts by local makers. The boutique also houses the studio of artist/owner Debbie Serdy. You will often find her assembling her popular line of pop culture inspired jewelry, or sewing up a storm with upcycled, heirloom fabric
