This is the fourth visit to the New Gloucester Antiques Centre for me! I was so thrilled to learn it had reopened after the lockdown. We browsed various areas - I love the ceramics and jewellery, particularly the brooches, and my friend goes for the more "boyish" stuff like militaria and rainwayana. He bought a rare toy wagon, and I bought several brooches (some are Lea Stein-type lucite items) and a couple of pairs of dangly earrings. There is a very cute cafe on the first floor with very reasonable prices. We also ventured to the top floor to inspect the beams which are 15th century. This house used to be a grain store in years gone by. Full of history, of course. It's been featured on Bargain Hunt four times up to press! There is a beautiful garden at the rear of the property where we sat awhile girding our loins before a second onslaught on the collectibles, and actually had the pleasure of meeting and having a chat with John the owner of this property and adjacent buildings. We soaked up the fabulous atmosphere sitting there in the beautiful back garden with its view of nearby Gloucester Cathedral. It won't be long before we come back, I'm absolutely positive.

The industrial style and fabric of this building provides the perfect backdrop for our stock which we source from across Europe and the UK. Our showroom opening hours are as follows:- Monday - Saturday 10:30 - 5:00. We would advise that you call or email before a visit as we are often away on buying trips in Europe.
