We didn't know if they offered a fish fry and we like to try as many of those as we can. Turns out they do and it was very good, coleslaw was exceptionally good. The spaghetti Bolognaise was a huge serving and very tasty. We had to ask for bread but it was very busy that evening and the server was attentive in every other way.

Passing through again and had time to grab a bite. Beef on Wick sandwich is dadâs favorite here and the second time around Dad not disappoint. Generous amount of beef and very tender. Bacon and cheese omelet gigantic but be sure to ask for light amount of butter on the toast...it was way too much! Great, friendly staff and we were served quickly. Closed on Mondays but we will be back other days.

Went for lunch. Worth the money. I got a huge sandwich overloading with meat and a side of fries for under $9. You cant leave here starving. And the cabin slaw- mmmmmm yummy. I wanted their secret, it was the best Cole slaw. Definitely going back to eat here again, and again. Service friendly and polite.
I must confess I am probably a little biased--I love KFC and it is not available in our town, so we had a particularly good visit. We ordered the regular chicken and wedge fries, along with a couple different salads. It took a little while, but that was because it was being prepared fresh.

We have tried this restaurant three times over the last year. The pros....the are consistent. The cons....food is always served luke warm to cold. Bland, watery soup. VERY tough Rib Eye steak, which had a peculiar metallic taste that made one wonder what species it was butchered from. The service is excruciatingly slow, regardless of day or time....which is not on the servers but the kitchen. How does a kitchen (in the country no less), run out of potatoes on a Friday evening at 6:30?? Prices are not unreasonable for a quaint country restaurant, if the food quality was remotely edible. Bland, under cooked vegetables and sides. Reminded us of the weekend specials at an assisted living facility. Locals frequent this establishment due to very limited options with 15 miles. Sorry Mary....strike 3 and you are out! Jake's from now on in the Concord/Springville area. PS....parking lot needs some serious upgrades, before someone falls in a dirt/gravel pothole.
