The limited hours and the minimal available seating makes this gem of a restaurant difficult to get into. Forget about trying to make a reservation because no one answers the phone. But once you get seated you are in for a treat. We had the seasonal lake trout. Forget the tarter salse and lemon, the fish was yummy. Ambiance was quaint. You'll want to ask about the origin of the name, Lemon Wolf.

A family run business on Lake Superior's North Shore. Located in Beaver Bay we have a full service restaurant seating from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily. Our motel is a quaint 8 room facility.

My wife and I were riding our motorcycle down the North Shore during a rain storm and needed a place to get out of the weather. We stopped at the gas station next door and inquired about a nearby restaurant (I couldn't tell thru the rain the building to the south was in fact a restaurant). The girl in the gas station pointed out this place. We went in there (just before noon?) and there was only one table occupied. The waitress said we could leave our wet things in another part of the building while we ate. We ordered our food (half wrap and salad & soup and salad) both entrees were excellent. By the time we were finished eating, there was a waiting line for seating. I feel the staff worked their tails off and nobody was left unattended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Stopped in for an appetizer and a drink and both were very good. Menu is limited due to the small size of the place but the tater tot nachos were very good.

Dinner was included in our lodge package and it was the best meal or our entire trip. The server (unfortunately I don't remember his name) was the friendliest gentleman and his recommendations were perfect. Our meal was presented beautifully (the special that night was steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables) and dessert was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
