The Brewers Union Local 180, Oregon's only Real Ale Pub and Brewery, is a blend of the best of the British Public House, the American spirit of adventure, and the natural scenic beauty of Oregon's Cascade Mountains. Situated in the center of Oakridge, whi
I was looking forward in stopping here to taste their real ale bitters and I was not disappointed. Real crafted English ales served up in a very traditional English style. True casked ale's served through a beer engine. Impressive. Their ales are brewed right there onsite. They also include 4-6 guest taps from other breweries within the region. The atmosphere was cozy and very pub like. Separate bar and dinning area with a limited outdoor seating area. Service was very good and quite friendly.

Stopped in for lunch and tried a couple of the sides. Had the very good & hot macaroni & cheese along with some of the smoked turkey chili, also quite good. Also had a smoothie which was a surprise - strawberry-banana & filling!
The Oakridge Subway was a welcomed sight for is hungry hikers. It's located next to the A&W, which is right off Willamette Highway, SR 58, midway through town. Lots of parking & friendly, helpful staff. Call ahead if you need, 541-782-2482. Open 7AM-10PM.We were on our way out of town after spending the night at the Oakridge Inn Best Western. Actually planned the whole afternoon around a basic 6" Black Forest Ham and Cold Cut Combo sandwich. We love their newest choice of bread, cheese & jalapeño pepper. The flatbread is our alternative, another great option! We order the pepper-jack cheese, spinach, tomatoes, red onion, olives & banana pickles with honey mustard sauce. They have chips, cookies, apples and yogurt parfait for sides. Coke, Sprite, water or milk to drink.Very clean dining room, spacious with lots of windows to gaze out onto the surrounding Cascade mountains. Great sandwiches to take with you & find a picnic table at the nearby Green Water Park at the east end of town. Or better yet a nearby hamlet, Westfir, where they have a picnic area next to the Office Covered Bridge. The Aufderheide Scenic Byway was our destination for this midweek adventure. Great photography opportunities all along this route. We didn't see but a few cars. Well worth it.
No breakfast, sloppy food, cheap! The town has nothing to boast about, poor little town falling down with no real choices to eat. If the kids eat it works however I have lived in Frandfort Michigan where in my opinion A&W was run right offering breakfast and good food

Oh.My.Gosh. Worst service ever. Took my hubby and three hungry kids. My husband was told that broasted chicken would take thirty minutes but we decided to go for it. One hour and twenty minutes later still no chicken - and not one server communicated with us before the hour mark. At the hour mark the server said they were busy and she TOLD him it would take awhile. We ended up getting refund and will never have the chance to try the chicken - I don't care if it's 5 star chicken, we are never going back and will pass the word.
