Simple food, interesting combinations. Ate here 3 times this week. Mushroom puree with beef to die for and interesting take on croque monsieur with home made bun. Friendly service, husband wife and son not all at the same time. Simple menu with 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts with 1 item changed per course per week.

We visited this restaurant based on TA ratings though we noted no reviews were more recent than Nov 2017 which is odd. The evening started well with a charming attentive Manager. Things started to go wrong when the restaurant got busy and it seemed the Manager was working a large restaurant, upstairs and downstairs as well as bar tables and the actual bar. He had 2 staff for help and it was impossible. He was trying his best and apologising constantly, other tables waited an age to be served and we gave up after 2 courses took 2 hours. We had to ask more than once for wine we had ordered. I also had to send back my beef which I very rarely do. Overall a deeply disappointing experience when we expected so much more.

Surrounded by exposed stone and impressive range of whiskies bottles, the interior decoration keep you relax during the lunch time. The lunch time menu has not a wide range of choice but still dishes are so tasty and original. Fine cuisine in a modern stylish bistrot. Staff is kind and coffees to end up this relax lunch were amazing.

Having been here once before and been very impressed this visit was a bit disappointing. Despite the drop in temperature - this was back in mid-September - the proprietor basically insisted we sit outside on the terrace, which isn't especially agreeable anyway slap bang as it is to a main road. The glass of Vacqueyras blanc was a hefty and enjoyable mouthful but pretty much gulped down just so we could escape to the warmth of a nearby restaurant. I know that this proprietor knows his wines very well; let us leave it at that.
