La Petite Guinguette was recommended by a chateaux we visited. The place is fantastic. There's a huge outdoor space with sofas and seating for relaxed drinking, and an indoor area filled with lanterns along with snooker table for the kids. It's very relaxed, almost as if you were on a beach. Very friendly service and a lovely selection of wines. It cost us â¬14 for two glasses of wine, a beer and a soft drink - so very reasonable given the area feels upmarket. Would HIGHLY recommend.

We found this wonderful restaurant/bar in the little town of Langon. We were not expecting very much as Langon is a sleepy town with not much going on. But we made an excellent choice. There is a tapas menu and everything we chose was great. The presentation of the food was lovely. I would highly recommend the plate of mixed cheese and meat. Yummy, it was all delicious . The wine menu was extensive and with a few recommendations from our wonderful host we choice some of the local wines both white and red. The white wine from Chateaux Rolland was outstanding. Great service and wonderful food and wine. Well worth a visit.

The food is unforgettably delicious: imaginative, creative and delicately put together, yet unpretentious and rooted in quality local ingredients. As a previous reviewer said, the environment and views are indeed 'breathtaking' and 'no expense has been spared' on the outdoor eating area, curved around ancient oaks. It's a rural paradise, but just 5 minutes' drive from the city of Langon. The ecological design, building materials and homage to nature are an inspiration. The service is friendly, attentive and multi-lingual. At 22 or 28 euros per menu, you'd expect it to be twice that price. What more can I say? Just go and enjoy it...

A handy spot to lunch if you are driving between Bordeaux and Toulouse, a minute drive off the highway. Also right opposite to the train station. Very, very basic in appearance. One rather shabby restroom covering all, so frequent in France. Service friendly and helpful, having problems with English.Several local wines to choose from at modest markups. Cold starters of buffet type not bad, but far from inspired (or inspiring), Several main dishes on a daily changing basis, all quite well prepred in the traditional manner. Good desserts, do not miss. All in all, a good 10+ on a 1 to 20 scale.Recommended indeed for a short lunch stop, prices truly convincing: 22 EUR per head for a good three-course wine with beer and fine white from Sudouest.
