We arrived a bit late as our navigation system guided us through gravel roads and wine yards- the direct way - which turned out to be an adventurous drive with steep hills and over a very narrow bridge. When we arrived we found out that there was a normal road as well. Being late the welcome was a bit cold - as cold as the tasting room temperature - but once our guide realized that we had some knowledge on wine she quickly opened up and we had a very interesting tour of the cellar! Everything very modern and clean with a few on the environment. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and we even received a few very good recommendations. To visit a reservation is a must!

We stopped here for lunch during a winery tour and were so glad we ate here. The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all wonderful. If you want good food in a small intimate place, with an authentic atmosphere, I highly recommend this place

Relatively new to Pinhao, a welcome addition to the restaurants there. We stayed at the Vintage House Hotel and a light tapas lunch in an informal setting is sometimes what you need. Good cheese and hams. Beer. 4-5 different reds and same number of whites. But also good bottles to buy. Seats around 15-20 people.

Tua'Mercearia is a Tapas & Wine bar located in front of Tua Station. Ideal for those who like to taste good sausages and cheeses and an excellent wine. There is also a regional product store.
Getting off the train in Tua, and planning to spend a few hours here, what a welcome find this place was. Right adjacent to the station, this restuarant offered tapas or plate of the day. We chose the latter which came with starter, main, (melt in your mouth veal) a drink, coffee & dessert. â¬15 for 2. Unbelievable value and Monica gave us great advice of where to visit in the area. A wonderful afternoon in peace, unspoilt, untouristic Tua. Closes on Tuesdays.
