Each time I visit, which is infrequently, the food is consistently tasty, very nicely presented, and cooked to your desired level of spiciness. Very good service, nice decor, plenty of parking outside in this little strip mall. And if you're there in the daytime, a walk on the Foster City levee across the street is recommended too. I wouldn't say the portions are big, though. It takes at least a couple of dishes to fill you up, but not excessive amounts necessary.
I often came here as this is one good Thai restaurant. However, their food and service seem to be going downward in today's visit. We are surprised that the place is empty at the busiest lunch hour. There used to a line waiting which we didn't see today. Our hot tea is served lukewarm and my fork was forgotten. But the good side is that they accept American Express card.

Today was my first visit to Khao San Thai Cuisine and can I say that I am absolutely thrilled to have great Thai food in Foster City again. I actually went there for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we got (free delivery in Foster City) for dinner. I had been avoiding the place because a Thai restaurant there under previous management was terrible. I happened to stumble in today, and the food was fresh, light, non-greasy, delicious and plentiful. We had the drunken noodles and green shrimp curry for lunch. Absolutely delicious! Service from Ja was spot on, friendly and efficient. For dinner, the food was delivered within 30 minutes. Delivery in Foster City is free and the order was accurately filled (by Ja) and pipping hot. The panang chicken and salmon curries were excellent. The angel wings were also great, as was the spicy friend rice. I thought the pad thai was quite flavorful too. As at lunch, the food was plentiful, there were lots of fresh veggies, and everything tasted light. I am so happy that there's now a better Thai alternative in town, and I am sure today's visit and delivery order, was just one of many to come! I am looking forward to going through the menu!

Charm Thai is a hidden gem in San Mateo! Great service, awesome food at reasonable prices. Parking can be tough though. We had to park a block away in a 2 hour zone in a residential area. Itâs a small place with maybe a dozen tables. Good selection and variety. House chef specials were $14 while regular dishes were $10. Food was served hot and fresh. The servers came around frequently to solicit feedback and if all was good. I found this a rarity in a place which was packed around 7.30 pm on a FridayI would highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again.
