We were recently visiting family in the Toronto area and loving Thai food, we decided to meet for dinner at a local Thai restaurant. By luck, we happened upon the Thai Villa. We had an incredibly delicious and satisfying meal. Quite surprising, considering the restaurant is tucked between an assortment of businesses in a suburban strip mall. The interior of the restaurant itself is beautiful, filled with contemporary Thai artwork. We were transported to another world. The menu was extensive, the service prompt and friendly. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. We asked for the chef's recommendations and dish after dish was prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. He was even willing to prepare a dish not on the printed menu and did so flawlessly. My son lives in Thailand and we eat Thai food fairly often. Our experience at the Thai Villa was as good or better than some of the best in Bangkok. Yummy! The chef is a tall handsome gentleman, who obviously knows and loves food. He could easily be the star of a television cooking show, but as it is, he is definitely the star of this place. Thank you. We recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

We have been going here for years....it is our " go to" place for Thai. The selection is good, prices reasonable and quantity fair. My favourite is their curry. Red, yellow or green, all are good. Red I like the best with the smooth sauce and variety of vegetables. We order a bowl of steamed rice too! Bento box with Soup is perfect at lunch. Service friendly and the little slices fresh orange at the end finishes things off nicely.

The restaurant only had a few tables busy by about 12:15 Wednesday . The lunch menu had quite a variety of lunch choices for $11.95 or $12.95. Soup and a summer roll were included in the lunch special. My husband and I both ordered their chicken cashew combo, with him getting the lemon soup along with the spring roll. They let you sub in another spring roll in place of the soup which I appreciated as I am not a big soup fan. The spring rolls were tasty, and my husband loved the soup. Service was very efficient at this point, and plates were cleared and meals brought in a very timely manner. I enjoyed the chicken and veggies combination, but both of us thought the rice to be rather starchy and dry, but thankfully they gave us a lot of juicy sauce on top of the chicken and veggies, and once it was all tossed together, the rice became a tasty part of the meal. As an aside, we sat at a table by the front window, and the window sills could sure use a fall cleaning, does not give a great first impression. Service was fine, food was good, but we probably won't return as the ambience and food was missing the "wow" factor.

Tasty thai food. Nothing in the Lao section which is advertised out front. Was hoping for some comfort food, couldn't find it here. Must try tho.
