Reviews on Thai food in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. Set amid the coastal Chugach Mountains, Anchorage defies popular visions of polar ice caps and frozen tundra. It’s also warmer than you think (averaging 65 degrees in summer), making conditions ideal for sight-seeing or taking on uniquely Alaskan opportunities like arctic biking or touring the fjords of Prince William Sound. In the winter, you can ski, dogsled or do both simultaneously by "skijoring," which is cross-country skiing while being towed by a dog. Hey, it's no crazier a winter sport than the biathlon.

When we want a good, quick, inexpensive meal, pho is often our default. We actually planned to visit another pho restaurant, but it was closed. A quick map search led me to Pho Lena, and it did not disappoint! The place was full, generally a good sign, but it was still just a short wait to be seated, make our choices, and get our food. The pho was very flavorful, and the coffee and boba delicious. i recommend a visit to Pho Lena.

Recommended by the downtown Visitors Bureau - excellent food, close to major downtown hotels. Ate there July 2011.
This is a very small family owned authentic Thai restaurant immediately across 5Th street from the Hotel Capitan Cook. Upon entering we were met by one of the owners, she presented us with comprehensive menu of Thai specials. We started with a complementary bowl of light soup, followed by Larb Gai ( chicken salad), shrimp curry! Everything was very good served with smile.

Love when a server remembers your âusualâ order! Thatâs the kind of place Thai is. Friendly, family-run business with a smile. AND delicious food! Itâs usually crowded, so be sure to wear a warm coat in the winter in case you need to wait a bit! We love their soups, apps, noodle and rice dishes. Sooo yummy.

We only spent one day in Anchorage and it seemed a little difficult to find vegan food. My Thai was very accommodating to our requirement for a vegan meal. It's in a very convenient location. It was not crowded. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We almost ate lunch and dinner there, but decided to get a little variety instead.
