Amazing traditional Japanese restaurant. Back in Japan in Schaumburg. I found this place before coming to Schaumburg and mentioned to Hubby that this is a must-dine place while we're here. We made it happen. It's very traditional and most clientele are Japanese, so we know we hit the jackpot. The restaurant is quite big, there's a sushi bar, first dining area, private dining in small individual rooms where you need to remove your shoes, and another dining passed that small rooms. There's a waterfall too, so you won't miss the sound of the waterfall. I think our waitress for the night was Migu, very sweet and very happy! We ordered fried squid and edamame and soup to start. Oh wow, the spicy mayo for the squid was to die for. I hardly eat spicy mayo but this one was so tempting that I couldn't say no. We both loved it! Then I had sashimi and Hubby had a bento box. Another wow right there! The pieces of my sashimi were pretty big. Hubby's bento box was another dish I would recommend for those who don't want raw. The box came with chicken teriyaki, sushi, tempura, salad and side vegetable and a bowl of rice. Yes, complete! Highly recommended traditional Japanese restaurant. Loved it! Arigato!

Nice lively decor. But slow service and disappointing menu. So, as a sushi snob, I was dismayed by the choices. Dozens of rolls, but most included tempura, âcrab mixâ (which I hate) and tuna mix (donât care to even know what that might be). Very pedestrian. I ordered my own roll which was very good, but only because I left out the fake sushi. Pot stickers were barely warm and mediocre. Our friendâs tandoori chicken wrap was average. The chicken lettuce wraps made the GF sick the next day. So many better places...

If you love sushi, you should definitely visit our restaurant. You'll surely enjoy our classically prepared sushi and unique maki creations. Our bar serves a wide range of Japanese beer, sake, cocktails, wines, and martinis.
Bistro Wasabi has two locations (Hoffman Estates and Lake In The Hills), and I've enjoyed them both for several years. Last night was the HE location. The bar is fun and cool and well-stocked. The unique bar stools are comfortable which may come as a surprise. Definitely different. Sat down for dinner with some edamame and hot (I know, blasphemy!) sake. With a Kirin to boot. The sushi glfeature for the day was the "Black Widow" roll. Outstanding! Also enjoyed a scallop roll and a spicy California roll. Fresh, and masterfully prepared and presented. One can watch the chefs work as they do their magic. What fun!Finished with some green tea ice cream, dusted in powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate. Great stuff. The woman I was with was suitably impressed. I was too.

The food is good and the selection is huge. There should be something for everyone from sushi, sashimi, beef, chicken, seafood galore, dim sum, and more. There is a Mongolian grill and you can pick out ingredients: meats, vegetable and noodles for the cook to make. The quality is better than most Chinese buffet. I like the made to order crepe station. The ice cream choices are great and she scoops it for you â I opt for the green tea and went back for Moose Tracks. There is a chocolate fountain but not sure since I am particular about my food and not keen on the idea that the chocolate has been circulating. We came on a Saturday and they were serving lobster and crab. There is a special line for lobster and crab. There is a wait but in general the line went real fast, no more than a 5 minute wait.I havenât been here for a few months and my entrance was not favorable. The main foyer is huge with a giant fountain but it has been ignored. It was cold and roped off because the ceiling was dripping and a few ceiling tiles have fallen off. The person at the counter did not acknowledge us and kept pointing towards the back while on her cellphone. We realized it meant the hostess is coming. She should have said something since we are not mind readers (or finger readers). The place does need an update. The wooden chairs are loosing their stain as well as being uncomfortable. The bathroom stall walls and doors are made out of cheap pressed wood and loosing its stain. The place has a lot of traffic hence the huge 32 gallon topless garbage cans in the bathroom that were overflowing with paper towels. Bathroom is an eyesore and below average. The food area is kept very clean and there was staff constantly wiping the area. Overall the food is good but pricey. It is cheaper for lunch. The waitress was nice and attentive. She kept clearing our dirty plates and refilled our drinks. I would recommend coming here for lunch and dinner.
