I wrote a simliar review for Kokoro last December on Yelp. Just returned to Lake Elsinore area to visit the in-laws. Kokoro has become our get-away Japanese cuisine place when I want to enjoy my favorite food. We stopped in on the way back from LAX with my son and husband last night.Early Friday night dinner. Gracious staff. EXCELLENT dinner options, we all chose the dinner 'bento style' combination meals. All wonderful, reasonably priced. And extra nice that I was recognized and greeted by one of the younger waitresses, Jane, who remembered that we visit here about 1-2x a year. Arigato and we will be back later this week!!

Twice I have seen management disparage an employee...for some reason the woman in charge of the restaurant likes the music set as loud as a nightclub...different music blaring from the kitchen at the same time....the food quality is inconsistent when ordering the same dish on two different occasions...greasy/limp fried food and tasteless broth
Where to eat Bar food in Lake Elsinore: The Best Restaurants and Bars
At the fictional bar on TV called Cheers, everybody knows your name, and the same is true at Sansui Sushi. It is a small, intimate restaurant where customers strike up conversations at the sushi bar making friends, and becoming regular customers themselves because of the great food, prices, friendly people who eat there, and the warm welcoming service. Being greeted by name and greeting employees by name in return is awesome. The sushi is fantastic. You can order any roll starting at 4.50. Rolls are made fresh and there are daily specials, too. We liked their California, spicy tuna, chicken teriyaki and blue crab rolls the best. Edame is complimentary, and we order a cucumber salad for 4. 95 and a hot pot of tea. Sometimes I get the Miso soup 1.95. It is the best I have ever tasted. They have table service, too. In addition to the regular menu, they have great specials that include two choices of entries, soup, salad and rice for one price. Lunch is about $10 and dinner about $12. They make a great teriyaki chicken and udon soup. It is family friendly, and we often see families there. My husband and I eat there about twice a month, and it feels like home. If you are in Lake Elsinore, stop in, say hello, and have a bit to eat.
