We went there for a year-end dinner with my colleagues, in December. The service was excellent, very attentive but not too pushy. We expected something special small "Japan" in Budapest, but we did not get it. The waiter was kind, but speechless, no help at all to getting through in the menu. Interior is nice, but the atmosphere was ruined by the music, which was a modern international pop. The food was also disappointed (maybe we chose wrong..). Huge portions (which I suppose not traditional japanese), and the quality and taste nothing special.The prices was really high compared to the food and service. This buffet restaurant is unusual in that it also includes drinks, including wine and champagne by the glass. We did wonder if the restaurant would be slow to give us another drink, but we did not have a problem with ordering another drink. You can order, and pay for, a bottle of wine, but we didn't feel the need to do this. The price of the buffet varies from lunchtime to evening meals, and midweek to weekend, so check the price of your meal on line before going. Also the lunch time buffet does not include the cooked fresh to order station. We went the first evening when we arrived in Budapest and just wanted somewhere close to our hotel. The service was very good and the range of food was excellent. My husband made use of the grill section to have some fish cooked to order. They give you a buzzer to take back to your table which buzzes when your food is ready for you to collect. This worked well as my husband used the time to fill his plate with sides to go with his fish. I found plenty of choice in the ready cooked foods. This was a good value meal. You are told when you enter that you can have your table for 2 hours, which was plenty of time for us. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but soon became much quieter. We've been there once and everything was perfect - food was simply awesome, the staff was extremely helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. Since we liked it so much, I tried calling a second time to reserve a table because the first time we were there, we saw that the place was a little crowded; when a staff member answered the phone and I asked if she could speak English, she threw down the phone ...Dear Customer,We would like to thank you that you have chosen our restaurant and service.
