Welcome to Lakaz Maman Mauritian Street Kitchen in Bedford Place, specialising in Mauritian Street Food. Owned and run by MasterChef winner Shelina Permalloo, we serve authentic recipes with a modern mauritian twist. We accept bookings and walk ins. Open
Always wanted to come here after reading about the restaurant and Master Chef credentials- just happened to be on other business and walked by- and in.We had the butter bean wrap with salad, and jack fruit burger and fries. The wrap could have been served hotter- it was on the luke warm side of hot- my burger was ok but served with very small fries, not like the ones pictured n here.Nice combination of spices and textures and tastes on both meals- but difficult to eat as served in small trays, there is no better serving utensil as a hot plate for hot food!.Very good young waitress serving by herself and just starting to fill up when we left. All in all a nice lunch time meal- a few tweaks here and there and it would have special.Hi thanks for your message - we are happy to put things on plates by request of course, we just like to present some of our dishes a little differently. We will certainly look into making sure our wraps come out hot thanks for bringing this to my attention. I hope you come and try us out again soon. Shelina

Family-owned and run, Mango Thai Tapas celebrates its 10 year anniversary in 2017! With three Mangos in Southampton, each with their own identity, here on Canute Road is the Shangri-La of Bangkok. With its lively atmosphere and cocktail culture, enjoy dri
Sat night dinner for 5, we were quickly seated and enjoyed a great selection of dishes that were elegantly presented and very tasty. We ordered some nibbles with our drinks and then picked 2 dishes each (10 in total) to gauge helpings. This proved to be more than adequate and everyone was satisfied and comfortably fed. With a large selection of cocktails as well as beers and wines from the full bar this makes for a great evening out for friends and family. Service was efficient and friendly, with drinks and food total bill was just over £160. More than happy to return and enjoy other dishes on menu.
