It is the regional centre of the Northern Great Plain region and the seat of Hajdú-Bihar county. It was the largest Hungarian city in the 18th century and it is one of the Hungarian people's most important cultural centres. Debrecen was also the capital city of Hungary during the revolution in 1848–1849. During the revolution, the dethronement of the Habsburg dynasty was declared in the Reformed Great Church. The city also served as the capital of Hungary by the end of the World War II in 1944–1945. It is home of the University of Debrecen.

I visited this place while I was staying in Debrecen for short them. They had great panini and toasts with different types of options that you can add to; I really enjoyed their food and coffee. Its atmosphere is more or less like cafeteria in university. However, I personally think that their foods are a bit overpriced considering it's just a regular toast and it's located within the university campus. I can easily order or dine out with similar/higher quality of foods but larger in quantity wise and would still pay the same or less.

Okay food but not great. We were especially disappointed by the quality of the daily menu. Although the quality tends to fluctuate. Pastas are overpriced. Since it has a great location and a very cheap daily menu option, I still give it a good rating. The interior design and the terrace is truly unique and pleasant. Staff can be completely cold and inattentive, sometimes even rude. Service is an important factor when visiting a restaurant, unfortunately we left feeling unsatisfied. Then again, other times both the service and the food was good. In conclusion, I don't expect any consistency from this restaurant.

We have not visited this place but one of the staff members wearing "Buri-Buri" T-shirt was chatting with the staff from Meatloaf burger place across Buri-Buri, and made racist gestures portraying an Asian person kneeling when they saw us. I cannot be 100 % sure if the person referred to us, but that happened immediately after they saw us, and no one else was around, and he was laughing. So, I thought that it would be important to leave this comment for the Administration of Buri-Buri so that the staff can be more sensitive at least while representing the name of the Buri Buri place (FYI: that happened on the evening of October 5).
