Saltgrass Steak House at,the Dam for Aquarena Springs is a very nice place to watch the San Marcos River. The views from the patio are serene and beautiful. Eclectic Menu. We had the Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Salmon Platter, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and Filet Mignon. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Tasty fresh baked bread. Friendly and efficient servers. Moderate prices. Plenty of Parking.

We visited the Texas Road House for dinner. The food was very good- I had an 8 oz sirloin and it was very tender and flavorful. I loved the fresh rolls and the cinnamon-honey butter. I had sweet potato for a side and it was delicious as well. The mixed veggies were ok but the carrots were a little undercooked. My only issue was that the music was playing loudly and there was quite a bit of noise from the tables as well. This made it hard to have much conversation.Still, I would return for the food!

After being seating in the nearly empty dining room, it took nearly five minutes before our server visited us. Once we ordered, the drinks, appetizer, and food came out in good order. Our Blooming Onion was overcooked. My dining companion and I ordered the exact same cut of steak. She ordered hers medium. I ordered my as medium-well. Hers was cooked to medium, but mine was much closer to well-down. Also, our steaks were seasoned quite differently. Hers had much more pepper to it than mine.We hate that we disappointed you. This place is very popular. We went on the recommendation of friends. There was quite a long line of people waiting when we arrived. Everyone raved about the place. We waited about 45 minutes and the server took our orders immediately upon being seated. Food arrived quickly. Many menu items available. My only disappointment was the rice, it was served on plain white rice, not prepared sushi rice, everything else was great.
