Sokkelund is the quintessential neighbourhood brasserie, kitted out with lovingly worn-leather banquettes and handsome waitstaff in crisp white shirts. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, join the steady stream of regulars for flexible bistro bites, including ar
I went there with some friends and ordered STJERNESKUD that a friend recommended, including steamed and fried plaice fillet and shrimps. The price wasnât cheap as it is the case for most up-scale restaurants in Copenhagen, but the dish was very tasty.

We just visited, passing by the Steakhouse. They have a good card, just what one should expect of a steakhouse. After ordering we discovered that the quality of this all was very good. But what was really excellent; were two things: first of all the very charming and excellent service of the staff and secondly the great salad bar. It is said that many restaurants in Danmark have good salad bars, but this one surely exceeded our expectations.

KöD Vesterbro is your steakhouse, where you can enjoy a lavish dinner combined with great wine and Copenhagen's best service, in charming surroundings. The concept is prime quality meat (kod in Danish) in the shape of steaks from the best cuts from Denmar
Arrived early but our table was ready and we were seated straight away. But then we just sat there for 15 minutes, watching the waiting staff buzz around the neighbouring tables whilst treating ours like it was a hole in the universe. When someone finally came over, it was to ask us to move because we hadn't booked (we had)! The misunderstanding was quickly resolved but still no-one gave us a menu or took a drinks order. It was another 15 minutes before that happened. Once ordered, the food turned up fairly quickly but the service continued to be sporadic throughout the meal. To be fair, the steaks were nice and perfectly cooked. The fries were OK, but they cost extra. There was no greenery. The Bearnaise sauce was painfully salty. And it was very expensive. Almost ridiculously expensive. At this point I realised the restaurant is aimed squarely at the young and trendy and we had no business being there. Avoid if you are over 30.Hi Scott, Thank you for your honest review, this means a lot to us, hence it is the best way we can improve ourself and the staff. It doesn't seem like you have had the service we want to give our guests, I apologies for this! Can I kindly ask you to send me and email with the date and name for your visit, then I will talk to our staff to find out what went wrong about your table, ask I wrote we want to learn and improve ourself from this review. Regarding the prices, to be honest I think we are take a fair price for the food. It is definitely not a place for only young and trendy people, everybody is more than welcome in your restaurant. I hope to hear from you by email and I will dig into what went wrong during your visit.
