We really enjoyed eating at this restaurant! We wanted to eat somewhere nice after Liberty's graduation and we decided to eat here. We made the mistake of not making reservations but thankfully they were able to seat us outside. It was pouring rain, but the outside area was covered and we never got wet. The food was delicious and the service was great. They have a really good salad bar and the dessert was great too! The steak was delicious!!!

While spending a fun weekend with my wife exploring Appomattox, Smith Mountain Lake and surrounding area we stopped at Perkyâs. The hostess let me know that the wait was going to be an hourâafter smelling the wonderful aromas I decided weâd wait. Quite a few locals were waiting and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation while we waited. Once seated, the service was prompt and fun. We both ordered steaks which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were wonderful as well. The ambiance is expanded diner... with a Veteran appreciation motif. Perkyâs has a wonderful energy, delightful people and great food.

Went late afternoon on a Sunday with a friend. Waitress was Tabitha. I'm allergic to red meat. I ordered a drink, calamari and large caesar. Even their chicken option had bacon. They were out of their snapper and lobster specials. Calamari was tender but greasy beyond belief. I was given marina sauce without a choice. I wanted the pepper sauce. When I asked for the change I was told I was only allowed one .My large salad arrived in a very small bowl for $5.50. My friends dinner came and she got my large salad. Our waitress repeatedly told us she hadn't worked there in a long time. Yet she made no attempt to rectify things. We waited over an hour for dinner to arrive. The table near us, was seated after we arrived, had finished before our dinner was served. We also asked for separate checks. My drink was on her bill, her appetizer on mine. Total disaster. Would not eat there again for free.I want to start by saying that your review lacks truth. We have more than one chicken option, so right there you're incorrect. We have a pasta primavera that is vegetarian, which chicken can be added to. No bacon or red meat. Second, we have chicken Amatriciana that comes with bacon, but, you can ask for it without. Third, we have napoli chicken which comes with ham, but also, can be ordered without the ham. Maybe you should read the menu better or ask your server for more options. We have wonderful entree salads that can be ordered with either chicken or shrimp on them. We have a fried shrimp basket, an oyster basket and a spicy Texas shrimp bowl, all of which have no red meat. Also, we apologize for being out of specials, they are first come first serve and that particular weekend we sold out due to a high demand. Next, you basically verbally assaulted your server right in front of my manager when she apologized for mixing up your salads by saying quote, "don't be sorry just get it" when she was delivering food to the table next to you. You said you waited an hour to get your food, but you failed to mention you had an appetizer, then salad and bread, followed by your entrees. It's called coursing a table so that all the food doesn't come out at once and it's our policy to do so. As for your server, Tabitha, she is a college student and hadn't worked in a month or two. She was a little rusty, which she told you. She is a human being, not a robot, and like any other human on the planet, including you, she isn't perfect and can have an "off" day. When Melanie, the manager, delivered your food and asked if you needed anything else, you asked for red pepper mayo which she promptly retrieved for you. You never said you were dissatisfied with anything. You didn't ask to speak to a manager either. You'd rather jump on the internet and leave a bad review. You said you wouldn't eat here again even if it was for free, well, that's great because we wouldn't let you in the door.
