Fleming's El Segundo, CA is an ongoing celebration of exceptional steak and wine. We are conveniently located in the South Bay, near Manhattan Beach and the LAX airport, off the 405 on Rosecrans Ave.
My first time eating at a Flemingâs Steak house. The food was excellent, the filet mignon was delicious. Service was really good also. We ordered the special for two (steak and lobster) and only paid $70 for a complete three course meal. Celebrating my friends birthday and they treated her like a queen, everyone wishing her happy birthday....nice touches. I passed on the lava cake bc itâs 1060 calories and ordered the modest 800 calorie chocolate Carmel cake which was to DIE for. Great experience, will return

Paul Martin El Segundo is my go to restaurant. This establishment has mangers and an operating partner, Mr. Don Clark who personally ensures their restaurant give you delectable food, service, and ambiance. Two days ago my younger brother was in from Virginia to spend his birthday and allowed me to choose the restaurant. While I live in Redondo Beach, I immediately chose Paul Martinâs â¦Thank you for your service to our belly. See you again soon.

There is much to criticize for this unremarkable restaurant but the exceptionally poor service goes to the top of the list. We visited when the smallish restaurant was at best half full. As such, it's impossible to attribute the service to an over-taxed wait staff. Our server gave us the strong impression he'd like to be anywhere but serving us. And since he deigned to serve us, he made it clear that he was "slumming" with inferiors. He questioned our wine choice, pushing us to a wine that no one liked (he never once asked us about the wine so he clearly didn't care if we agreed with his choice). As a parenthetical, there were no draft beers available due to an unspecified malfunction - this was reflected by the cross-out lines on the menu - not very professional imho. After taking our order, we saw our server exactly twice after that. The first time was after one of our party was delivered his entree well ahead of all other others. A few minutes later, the server appeared to say the person received the wrong order. No apologizes, no explanation of when we might see our entrees - he just snatched the food away and left.We saw our server for the last time when he presented us with the bill. In the interim, our food came out in such a haphazard way we could only guess there was a single cook prepping food. Side dishes arrived well before entrees; a salad entree was delivered with the appetizer; and the various entrees arrived a vastly different times. No one "loved" their food - at best it was serviceable. Two orders were simply wrong - the wrong cut of meat delivered and when pointed out the food runner simply said, "oh, I meant to say this was the X instead of Y." He was wrong both times. It's worth briefly discussing the whiskey list. Yes, the restaurant name is Steak & Whiskey. But the whiskey list is so long that it becomes mind numbing. Honestly, there's no need to list so many brands other than pretension. And the pricing is unforgivable. The 2 oz pour (a bit more than a jigger) is priced at nearly half the cost of a retail 750 ml bottle. I get restaurants make money at the bar but this is just robbery. I shouldn't pay $20 for a rye where the entire bottle retails for less than $40.There are so many good choices in the area my strong recommendation is to avoid this restaurant at all costs.
